Is it just me, just the pictures or does the back of that chassis look cheap as hell?

Added it to noteb.com , but hell this thing is thick! 3.7 cm ? :D Most people want laptops 1 inch thick. But it's the price you pay for a desktop CPU. What impressed me is that they managed to implement Optimus with a desktop CPU. The P750 series don't have Optimus.

So does this mean the GPU is swappable or is that built into the board? Same with CPU, will it be swappable as well? This looks like my go-to if CFL1 laptops don't have an upgrade path.

From what little I can see on it, the CPU will be changeable but not the GPU.

I'd also like to see how a coffeelake version would shake down, since the i3-8100 will be quad core.

The K I3 adds a lot but the non-k does look like very good value. A consistent 3.6GHz on 4 cores 4 threads is very decent.

Doesn't look like it, I think they're enforcing it across the board, not just on higher end chips.

I signed up as i picked up one of these to test out and see how well it is so far no complaints my version was the Sager NP7950 Version which drivers were a bit tricky at first as i opted for no windows on my build. In the last few hours i have gotten it all set up and so far everything is pretty sound i planned on benchmarking it tommorow

Cinebench results are in an I tested it on a handful of titles that I had
i opted for an Intel Core i5 7400 for the time being with the intention of updating it to a core i7 later on

    OpenGL held at 87.65 FPS
    CPU got a 549 CB

Bioshock Infinite held a stable 75 FPS
Doom held a stable 79 FPS
    Fallout 4 held a stable 72-75FPS

Overall even with the desktop i5 I'm impressed with what it can handle so far.
