    Just bought mine from Sager.

When it is delivered I will post some details.

Not much in the way of reviews on the internet or in these forums on Sager. I do hope everything turns out alright. Most of the few reviews on the internet for Sager that I did find were not good. I chalked it up to most people post to complain. Those who have a good experience generally do not post. Considering how may laptops Sager must sell each year there were basically no reviews on the internet.

When I bought my last laptop 5.5 years ago Sager was pretty highly thought of on these forums.

Still are. The reason you don't see much discussion of this particular model is that Sager/Clevo notebooks are tailored more for enthusiasts. Not a whole lot of interest around these parts for what's basically an ultrabook.

I'm actually debating a Sager myself, but already having my 4 year old Sammy ultrabook, looking into the NP8xxx for all the but-brick-size-and-weight perks. I do want to see opinions on the Sager version.

My current Clevo is a W150HR. Between the laptop and the AC/DC brick it weighs 7.5 lbs. I got tired a carrying all this weight through airports constantly so this time I went for a light as possible model.

Hi , I'm pretty suspicious about the "Max 12 hours" battery life with a 35 Wh.

How much do you get for light browsing the web with minimal brightness ? I would say that 6 hours is a good score with this battery.

It souldn't say "Max 12 hours" battery life wh a 35Wh battery (I assume it's from another site somewhere or forum?)- our website says average 6h general usage.

It might depend how you measure max (with the lid closed pushing an external display sitting at idle) it might just manage it :p Not exactly a practical measurement.

Clevo's official value is 8h with the included 36Wh battery, so XMG's 6h RL use sounds reasonable...

    Screen options are: QHD+ (3200x1800), FHD (1920x1080) & HD+ (1600x900)

Was this model just released? Has anyone received theirs yet? Initial thoughts, pictures/video? :)

Looking for a new ultrabook, this may check off all the boxes if initial impressions are good.

Do you plan to open it up and see what's inside? I ordered the system76 version ( Galago) and am interested what the differences are between it and a stock Clevo. They say they use a different firmware, bios and display among other things. I know they have at least replaced one key-cap on the keyboard, I am curious if its a different model or they just swapped the keycap.

Nope they are identical apart from the N131BU being bright silver and the N130BU having a purple-ish tint to it.

Does anyone happen to know what the panel model is on this and if it's a true QHD panel? I currently have a P650RS-G but was thinking about selling it and instead getting an ultrabook and a ryzen desktop.

I am not at home so can not give you the exact details, I will post them when I am back home, but I do recall that the panel is made by a Chinese company and it is pentile, not true RGB.

In a tread I posted asking if anyone new what display this was I got a response that said some application would not scale correctly if it was a pentile display.

I got mine Friday night and spent the weekend setting it up. I really do like the display. Pictures really look assume. I had no display issues with any of the programs I installed. Everything looked fine. The only problem I did have is one program did not support the 3200*1800, but this had nothing to do with the fact that it was a pentile display, the program just did not support that high of a resolution.

If no one has by this weekend I will post some pictures.

I paid extra for Win 10 Pro and Sager did not even include the certificate from MS with the OS key. I emailed Sager and their response was if you want to be able to reload the OS on a new SSD then you have to pay us another $25.00 and we will email you a USB stick.

    I can not believe this?

Is this normal now when you buy a PC that the manufacturer does not even give you the OS key so you can reload the OS if you ever have to replace the C: drive?

The last LT I bought was in 2011 from Max Force PC, it was a Clevo and I got the OS key. Since 2009 I have been building my own HEDT's so I always have the key since I buy the OS.

Edit: 5/17/17 8:55 AM - So I now know that with OEM installs the key is put into the BIOS and MS does not supply key certificates on OEM Windows 10 installs.

Samsung LTN133YL01-L01 - it is a Pentile display.

FHD is this model LC133LF2L01 .

EDIT - I should add that we aren't offering the QHD, that it's Pentile is one factor but not the only - having this high resolution on a 13" panel is, in our opinion, really not worth it. I had a W230ST for3 a couple of years and I found that even the FHD panel was a bit small for some UIs.

I picked it up from AVADirect, $1,327.87 shipped to Atlanta. They seem a little slow on the build, but I'm not in much of a hurry.

You must post pics today!! Forum rules! Lol just kidding, looking forward to your thoughts on battery life, weight, build quality, etc.

Not bad at all for the specs. I'm currently going between this and the razer blade stealth. I can get the i5, 8gb ram, 128gb ssd Stealth for about $750 (have some amazon gift card money lying around), and the Clevo starts right around that same price for similar specs, except the HD, which is a 1tb standard instead of the ssd. I've previously owned the Sager NP7338/Clevo W230SS which was a pretty capable little machine, but there were a few things I didn't like about it (screen required extensive calibration before it was up to par, fan was quite noisy/loud due to the discreet gpu)

Regarding the 3200*1800 display on a Sager. I got a response from Xotic and they said that on a Sager the display is usual from Chimei/Hannstar or sometimes AUO. As stated in a previous post in this thread a response from a Sager Rep said the display is a Pentile display.

Early samples used an Innolux FHD display, this changed for the MP run.

How does it feel compared to latest Zenbook ?

Still their choice of a small touchpad and screen borders ....

But then it's easy to repair...

What battery life do you get with Wifi on ?

9hours is max I could get from this one with i7 and fhd screen + minimal screen and keyboard backlit brightness, light browsing + reading, a few youtube videos watched.

average though is a 7hours per charge for me for Wi-Fi workload.

Eventually 2.5" drives will go the way of the optical drive.

Really nice , under WIndows10 I guess , if we could achieve 7 hours under Linux , that would be sufficient but Linux still have a long way to go for battery life.

Hey all, I'm wondering. What is the best, for the money, 250 GB M.2 SSD drive, to get for this machine. Also, what would be the best Kit (16 G) of memory to get. And, is it really worth it to get Windows 10 Pro. The reason why I ask, is because I'm considering the best way on how to build-up this thing. http://rjtech.com/shop/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=30520

    Thanks

I did it myself, pretty simple.

I used CLU on the cpu, after I used Arctic 1.5mm pads to join the heatsink and it's tubes to the metal body,

then you can flash Schenker EC from their site, it only kicks fan after 75C.

or you can make a custom profile in CC

to reach that temperature in stress test you will need around 7minutes to get the fan kicking in.

in real life the fan is never kicking in and CPU is around 50-55C

Of course the temperature of the environment and how good your chip is will have an impact.
