Actually, seems like he said what I've been saying all along, that there's still no definite ETA and it's pretty much as soon as they can get it out! :D

They should start shipping very soon as well.

FYI we are getting one of these in for review, it shipped yesterday with the 1080p screen. The NP5125 looks like a great machine for the money.

Or as I originally said they are expected Friday and shipping out right away. :) I simply relayed the Estimated Time of Arrival that was relayed to us by Sager. ( Remember:

I think we had a bit of confusion as it seemed as if you were saying the date they'd start shipping vs. the date that they were arriving at Sager's warehouse.

Oh, and according to Frank they just found out they're arriving to the warehouse this afternoon (both HD and FHD screens) and will start shipping out asap, hopefully he'll update you soon Justin :D

Sager has just announced a "Better Battery Upgrade Offer for the NP5125"

"As some customers are aware, the new NP5125 has two battery options that will be available by September. Because we know our customers are eager to have the unit in their hands before the 62.16WH battery is available, we are offering a special battery upgrade offer for customers who buy the NP5125 now. Customers who purchase the NP5125 unit between now and the September release date of the 62.16WH battery will be given the special opportunity to purchase the new battery at a discount of 50 percent. NP5125 owners who buy before the release of the new battery will need only to show proof of purchase to receive the discount, which can be redeemed until the end of 2010. So buy now and enjoy savings later when you upgrade to the 62.16WH battery and the extended battery life it will provide.

62.16WH battery pack pricing - $120.00 before 50% off = $60 for the battery upgrade"

Hmmmm. Is it common to keep a backup battery hanging around? I don't think I'd ever look at the lesser battery ever again ... or maybe do some kind of explosive experiment.

Will this offer be offered by Sager resellers as well? Or will we have to buy directly through Sager to get the deal?

Is the 62.16Wh battery confirmed to be a 6-cell of the same size as the 48.84Wh? I'm trying to avoid any stick-out like with a 9-cell. As well, I just saw that the battery shouldn't be available until 9/30, which is disappointing. :(

Also .. a GT 335M would be sweet but would bump the price up some, no?

Sager is being told the 62.16Wh will be a 6 cell the same size as the 48.84Wh. BUT, no one has seen it yet so no guarantees until they are in hand :)

Yes, the 335M would bump the price.

My professional opinion is that there won't be any option for the GT335M, but you never know about other batteries. Cross your fingers!

I will game at native resolution only (1920x1080) so the difference should be minimal, anyway.

To have better batteries from Clevo actually would be a miracle lol!! It probably would be refreshed with a newer nvidia gpu 400 series.

The 335M is only found in one notebook right now, the Alienware M11x. Somehow I doubt it will make it into the NP5125.

Anyone know what IGP it packs? "Intel GMA HD" is the only description Clevo gives.

Edit: Just realized the i5-i7 cores have the IGP built-in. Notebook review puts it somewhere between a GMA 4500MHD and the faster 9400M used by the first Macbook Air.

New here, very interested in this model. Specs are exactly what I want.

Are they shipping with 1920 x1080 screen yet?

Can anyone review the audio/speaker quality? This is my only concern on this laptop.

    Thanks.

Replacing the hard drive will take you under 10 minutes and easy for you to complete. We help customers with upgrades quite often. If you are uncomfortable doing it yourself we can install it for you at no charge. :) (You would only be out shipping) Doing a hard drive upgrade is easy to complete for most customers.

Just a note to those who are wondering (as I've received quite a few emails on the topic), the GPU on this system is not upgradeable, nor will any other GPU be available for this system in the known future :)

I don't have the data you require for sure but if you look at
    Notebookcheck: NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M
You can have a good idea how it will do. I played Starcraft 2 beta and it was not very graphically intensive..

No more than Modern Warfare: 2 I would estimate. You only need 30FPS for your eyes to not be able to tell the difference and from past RTS experiences it can be less than that.

This card should run it just fine. With only maybe the slightest of annoyances.

That was on the beta, I would assume the release will be much more optimized.

If you are a bigger gamer especially latest FPS though this laptop isn't for you. If you want mobility and decent battery life while still being able to do most newer games on high, and the next years on medium and the years after that on Low then this will be fine.

Also SC2 comes out in a few days and Charles will be reviewing the 5125 next week so you'll probably get some info on how it's running.
