This should make for a good mobile gamer and also with some of the photoshop work and video encoding I do I am thinking this could be pretty awesome... I havent used a new 6 series mobile but my previous notebook had a GT540M 2GB card so this one has to be better I would imagine.

Now its just the waiting game until I can get it and see what it can really do :) I just wonder what games the mobile 650 GPU can handle. Also being so small I will be interested to see how thermals are handled under a encoding load in premier pro :) (torture test anyone? > :) lol )

as soon as I recieve this thing I will post up some pictures and some results as to what it can do!!!! :D

That seems pretty expensive. Why didn't you buy from a reseller like XoticPC?

honestly I built my own desktop systems most times.

but this one I decked out the way I wanted it, and I like the fact that I dont have to source my own parts as well.

plus add to that unlike building my own if something breaks it has warranty which to me is good because as I dont have as much time as I used to if something is to go wrong I do not wanna spend time diagnosing it.

To me those are worth it honestly as it just takes soem of the hassle and stress off of me. (I have enough of that with work :) )

I just priced it out, and the same setup isn't that much cheaper from Xotic, so nevermind.

Thanks for checking that I had never heard of Xotic, but from what I have seen the AVADirect system looks very clean, so I am just waiting for it at this point and I know I will go crazy waiting sooner than later...

teleporting parts I figured would be available by 2012... I have a damn need for instant gratification

What about build quality? I have doen some pretty extensive research and have heard some real horror stories about pretty much any prebuild.... but the Quality from AVA seems very good. as soon as I recieve the laptop I plan to let you guys know how it really is because unfortunately pictures on sales page always look so nice and pretty... but what you get in your hands is another story entirely.

Build quality should be the same. The Clevo unit is the whole laptop with screen, shell, lid, motherboard, cooling system, battery. Sager and Clevo resellers basically add components, provide drivers and software and do compatibility testing.

hey guys I know I let this post kinda slide a bit but for good reason. I did get the laptop and long story short my wife now uses it regularly as I got another since I wanted something with a bit more punch to it when mobile or when using with a couple displays....

I ordered me a P170EM from AVADirect just like the smaller one... but this ones got a little more muscle behind it so im sure I will get around to posting soem pics and stuff with the mini but honestly I think this big boy is just a lil more exciting :)
