Can we get some sager resellers or clevo reps to get to the bottom of this. Driver won't install and I've tried eeeverything. Setup.exe and forcing manual install won't work. It's a driver called airplane. Has nothing to do with VGA. I believe it is to turn on airplane mode as one of my functions keys has airplane symbol.

To help out you will want to describe any error messages, what version and build of OS you are using, your exact hardware configuration, what version of the driver you are trying to install and what steps you have already tried.

i guess as your sig says a 540M your using nvidia so have you got nvidia experience loaded.

also are you using the original bios or a moddified one.

it could well be theres just too much gunk built up in the registry from obsolete nvidia crap.
if you feel confident trying it you could try a safe mode clean and install using driver sweeper pro or driver cleaner just to see if that helps. walkthrough link below.

    EDIT:

looks like link is dead but will try and seach for it when i get home from work.

Need to update my Sig. I'm using sager np9772/clevo p770zm. 8.1 pro. From the research I've done it seems this driver has been a pain on other clevo models that have it. And supposedly, if this one forum was correct, this is the only driver clevo has written personally.

Basically driver won't install. Says wrong model or OS. I forgot. Stayed up late last night. Reinstalled windows 8 over another issue. The other CD for windows 7 says wrong is too when I directly try to install. I've tried all different ways to install including setup.exe file. It's not that big a deal but I'm kind of OCD when I have yellow question marks in device manger.

there are so many pages to download nvidia drivers and ive found a few in the past that had 32bit desktop drivers loaded on the 64bit notebook links so try downloading from here http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us
and make sure all the drop down boxes are for your model.

This has no thing to do with graphics drivers. It's a driver to put laptop in airplane mode I believe. Basically a kill switch for all radios. I've found many threads and posts throughout the internet about this being a pain to install. Haven't come across a fix yet though. I actually want this to work in case I'm in a public place with this behemoth or a hacker shows up in my neighborhood.

Just to update. I did a whole fresh install. Airplane mode is working and no yellow question marks in device manager.

Don't know if mod wants to close this or leave open for reference. Throughout my searches, I was lead to couple threads here, and in last two days somebody asked about the same thing in the batman threads. Still dont know which driver solved it but all is god now.

BTW, for reference, for people that have this problem n the future, that was my 4th install, all of which i went through drivers in numerical order. Don't know if had this problem then first two times as I was in a rush to get system tested. Most of the time the unknown device showed in other, but occasionally the USB drop down dropped down and showed it in USB devices. So it may not have been airplane driver though that hotkey wasn't working. I am going to test all my functions tonight as I ha e tomorrow off and can take my time now.
