Thanks for the reply @Meaker@Sager and @N2ishun. Other than rjtech and eurocom are there any other sellers? I asked clevo-computer, but they can't send it to Australia for now.

You could speak to local resellers.

I have spoken to Metabox, they can't get the stock, aftershock does not have it and Resistance has never sold this model. :(

Hey, i got the P775TM1-G 9900KF with the RTX 2080 (MOD 190w vbios.) . The p775dm3-g is my older laptop which has the issue. The charging socket is loose, so i gave it for repair to a local shop. They used a heat gun to extract the part out, they knocked 3 capacitors while doing that right next to the charging dc socket.(Long frustrating story). They can't find two of them and Metabox(Clevo Reseller Australia) does not do board level repairs. (Only options is RMA but its extremely time consuming due to the COVID scene confirmed from Metabox). So i finally gave it to another shop here. Their quote including the parts is 3/4th the cost of the motherboard. So i might as well buy another board.

I found some Clevo Resellers on Taobao as well. 6 month warranty on boards, $450 AUD ($300 USD).(Far better than rjtech and eurocom price wise). Their delivery to Australia is extremely slow now. Over 20-25 days both sea and air. And i kinda need the motherboard quickly.

That actually looks like such an easy repair that you could probably manage yourself with a soldering iron (if you had a way to confirm the specs of the missing capacitors). Surprised the shop would charge more than $100 to put 3 capacitors on the board.

Has the board been tested with the capacitors missing? Sometimes you get lucky and it still works if they are simply there for filtering. @Khenglish may provide some insight.

Worst case you could likely sell the board on eBay, likely someone would buy it for repair.

Thanks for the reply @moral hazard, The board works without the capacitors, i do not know the specs of the capacitors or else i would have fixed them on my own. I know they are super cheap. I do not wish to run the board without the capacitors since these ones decrease the noise of the input current to the board and would decrease the life of the board over time. Repairs - ($132AUD for 1 hr labour, Metabox sent me the Dc jack for 50 AUD + $26 aud shipping + capacitors would be another $10-15 AUD) and they also said the time might cross while fixing and i would have to pay more. so ya. anyone selling a p775dm3-g for a reasonable price ill take it or any reseller who i can buy from quickly.

No better shops? I think a shop charged me £20 for some quick PCB work back in the old days when I moved some caps for a larger MXM card.

@Meaker@Sager i have tried contacting a lot of places throughout Australia. I would not mind shipping it anywhere. But most of the quotes were similar or more. Some of them stated extreme prices for such small work. The only reason i am looking for a motherboard is the prices they quoted for fixing them. The funny part is the motherboard works perfectly and has no issue. I may just buy a motherboard and sell this one to recover some part of the cost. Let me know if you have any resellers that can sell motherboards.
