    Dear fellow forum members,

I have recently replaced my keyboard on my x7200 and it all went fine until I noticed that my volume touch sensor and mute buttons were not properly working anymore. I mean, they continue to work properly, they just don't light up as they are supposed to. For instance, when I lower the volume the bars don't light down, i.e. it doesn't show my current volume level. However, the V- is always lit (see pic). Also, my mute button continues to work, but never lights up anymore. All other icons to the right work perfectly (Bluetooth, WiFi, WebCam, Num Lk, CAPSLOCK, etc).

This is really weird. The connector seems to be in good shape. Does anyone have an idea of what could be happening? Could it be a "position" issue since it seems only the left side of the sensor is not working properly? A driver issue maybe? A startup process that is either not starting or malfunctioning? I couldn't find anything on the manual...

    Thanks for all the help,
    Henry

Yes it does need the touch/hotkey software running properly to function, check if that is installed and running.
