Sorry for such a late follow up. A lot has occurred and here is my summary.

    Vendors 2010 Selection - Clevo W870CU/M870/Sager NP8760

    I went with:

    Canadian vendor:
Reflex Notebook ( Reflex Notebook Canada - Your Source for Sager Notebooks and Laptops in Canada) located in - Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada.

The staff there is small (2-4 ppl). Beside being a Canadian vendor for Sager notebooks, they also provide various technical support in the area. A lot has changed for them, a new office, greater product selection, nerd events, etc.

As a Canadian citizen, I recommend them! They provided very kind support over the phone, even during very odd hours.

If you're looking for a USA vendor, from various inquires made, I would suggest:
    1- Xoctic PC
    2- PC Torque
    3- Dark PC
    4- Sager Notebooks

Due to warranty, policy, duties, shipping, and various other fees or issues, it's best that you deal with a vendor in your country.

As for the NP8760, as a gaming (now outdated) notebook, I love it!
It worked wonders for all the gaming of it's time, and still using it for some recent games (including Metro2033, Left4Dead, DayZ, DragonProphet, etc.). The notebook has and still is being used for technical work such as software development, 3D rendering, and Photo/Image production (~1.5GB projects [yes, a single high resolution image]).

Note that at the time of purchase, the model in question did not support USB 3.0 (USB 3.0 was available with the following month revised model).

The SAD part is the battery. If able, I would suggest that you apply for extended warranty on the battery (even for present gaming notebooks). I have been unable to find a vendor that make or sell them. (Preferably a vendor in Ontario, Canada)

** I have been cursed with a swollen battery.

Other suggested improvements would be better heat dispersing and stronger display lid material. I hope these have been applied to the newer models (per sager surveys).

I would like to note that it also appears that Sager Notebook has stopped supporting the NP8760 in late 2010 (per their tech support - which was disappointing to learn). This pose a challenge when making such purchase. Another thing to keep in mind when debating between laptop and desktop pc.
