    I don't really play racing games much anymore in the last few years, but Forza is always one of those games that makes me stop and be in awe of how far gaming has come. That looks really good on your comp too.

    how on earth is your CPU so cool, it runs at 4.5Ghz at 1.21v and still only tickles the 50 °C mark in the Mirrors Edge Vid, the heatsink must be really impressive and much better than the P771DM one, i'm speechless. I just delidded my CPU and get about 65-70 °C now in GW2 with only 4.2Ghz and 1.2v (before i had about 90-95 °C)

    Here's a little video I did on Project Cars on a humble 970m. The game ran a mix of ultra, high and medium settings. Main thing is that this game works the CPU like no other and is one of the few that benefits for a good overclock.

    Yeah, the cpu heatsink area is actually pretty large with those 3 dedicated heat pipes on the p870dm.

    Only if you want to use the 980DT heatsink's two banks fins, otherwise the primary heatsink for the 980M will work if you're not up to the task of modding the 980DT heatsink.

    I have a thread about the process over at techinferno and in theory it's simple but requires patience and a day to work on it.

    I'm heavily considering installing 1070 with the 980DT heatsinks some time within this year or the next when prices drop.

    Also off-topic relating to that message from 2016 about OBS/Shadowplay, did you manage to get the most recent version of Nvidia Share to work well? When I tried recording with it, it failed to make good fluid videos on high settings. Switching to OBS has helped greatly and worked much better, but it was an annoyance getting the settings right...

    Agreed, laptop GPUs only go up in price that I've seen, as soon as the new gen shows up they start increasing in price as they get more scarce. I remember seeing GTX 580Ms going for like $1000 or more right before there were none left.
