Hi !
I try to chose a good reseller for my P170, so I made lots of quotes,
and the 3 finalists are "mysn.de" (3688), "pcsystems-evolutionx.de" (3430) and "hawkforce.de" (3450).
I live in France, but it would seem that German resellers are incredibly cheaper!
"mysn.de" is more expensive because they use Samsung 830 SSD instead of the Crucial M4 I asked. So I'm still trying to lower their price.
But, the price is not really my goal... I just want the best reseller possible.
Because, as you know, if you saved 200 on buying, but have to lose 500 in after sales service... : /
So, from your experiences, between those 3 reseller, what's your favorite ?
Who do you really trust for buid your laptop, and for after sell service, the competence, disponibility, the explanations, and if necessary the return to workshop...

Hi there, we just want to mention: we offer Crucial M4 as well, not just Samsung 830.
-
all i can say is in my opinion its mySN all the way.
they expanded to the UK a few months ago and i had no hesitation in dropping £2006 on their first day of business.
yest the samsung 830 has the fastest read/write speeds but the crucial which i got is certainly no slouch and boot up time from pressing the button to opening a website is 12 seconds.geko95gek likes this. -
MySN all the way.
My previous reseller let me down and I turned to MySN to repair & uprade my x7200. They had an outstanding customer support and replied my e-mails quick and profesionally. Once they received my notebook (a Monday night), they instantly did the changes/repairs on Tuesday and sent it back on the same day.
If I was to buy the next notebook, it would be from them.

MySN seems to be a pretty good decision.
I never dealt with them before (maybe will with my next notebook ) but they answered my mails very quickly.
I bought my X7200 from Hawkforce because of the good reputation. BUT at that time he startet dealing with Eurocom and my X7200 came from them with video cards (6970m´s) that turned out to be engineering samples.
And the Laptop couldn´t start on battery. It was a horrible experience, and though there are many people who are praising Hawkforce, I can´t share that praising. Will never buy from Hawkforce again.
PCSystems-evolutionx is great. I bought a P170HM Barebone from them and my GTX 485m SLI setup. They reply fast and ship fast, never had anything to complain. So it´s a little bit surprising for me that they are not so well known in Germany. Their potential seems good to me. -

try HWinfo64

I had to take a look at the card itself... you can see a picture and some of the "story" here:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...adeon-6970m-eta-resellers-16.html#post7210103
Basically, on the card it was written "ENG" on it, that stands for "Engineering Sample". After that I even contacted AMD and they confirmed that this were ES... -
I am currently in the process of buying a P170EM/XMG P702 from Mysn.de and am somewhat disappointed.
30/09/2012 - I placed my order via the mySN.de website, where the availability of the notebook was indicated as "3-5 days" + up to a 1 week due to high order volume at the time
02/10/2012 - My order was accepted and confirmed by mySN.de
02/10/2012 - My payment cleared and I prepared to wait
About a week later I got an email, which said that the shipment of GTX 680Ms was delayed and my laptop would take approximately another 2 weeks to go into production. Well, good things come to those who wait, I said to myself, and prepared to wait a bit longer. However, on 18/10/2012 I received another email, in which they said that the GTX 680Ms have been delayed yet again and will be available again on 02/11/2012. At that point I checked their website and saw that they explicitly mention, that the first batches will go to P150EM orders ( a fact that was omitted in the email i received on 18/10/2012). It is not mentioned when the GTX 680M will become available in the P170EM again. Consequently, if you configure a P170EM with a GTX 680M now, the availability of the notebook automatically becomes "unknown". Surprisingly, the P370EM with GTX 680M SLI is listed as in stock.
By the way, browsing on a German forum I saw a mySN representative explain that the delay was caused by some holidays - "Golden week" in China and Taiwan. I believe this could have been mentioned in the email, rather than the usual generic excuse.
Since I will be travelling between 1/11/2012 and 11/10/2012, I wrote them on 19/10/2012 to ask for at least a rough ETA, so that I can arrange for someone to be present, if the notebook should arrive while I am away(I live in the Netherlands, if that is of any relevance). No response so far. I have been really busy at work and, believe it or not, just have not had the time to call them. I will keep trying to contact them by mail and phone(prefer mail as German is not my native language) for an answer. If one is not provided by the end of the week, I will cancel my order.
I chose mySN based on other users' feedback and because what they do for eSports - Homestory Cup is awesome and I have great respect for Take. I really wanted to give my business to them but my experience with them so far has been sub-par and off-putting. It would seem that I will have to wait for over a month for the GTX 680M to arrive, and then there is no indication how long it will take for my laptop to go into production. As awesome a company as mySN may be, I will definitely not wait 2 months for them to deliver a notebook. -
We are very sorry about the delay. There has been a little bit of shortage on the high end GPU's lately. As discussed via PM your GPU will be back in stock no later than November 5th (conservative guess) so your notebook will be assembled soon. In case there are any price drops by then, we will update your order. If you have any more tweaks to the configuration: now is the time. For example we just put up the new Samsung 840 SSD Series in the online shop - all of them will be in stock by next week.
-
I couldn't post earlier, but I would specifically like to thank Tom from mySN.de for PMing me earlier and taking a personal interest in my order. Thanks to him I now have an ETA -2nd week November and some peace of mind. Hopefully next time I post will be as a happy P170EM owner
I guess it was my mistake that I did not email them before ordering to double-check if everything was in stock - that would be my advise to anyone looking to order. What surprised me, though, is that posting here got me a faster response than emailing them directly. -
I found out a similar thing - MySN was easier to reach by PM-ing them in this forum than through emails
I had placed an order yesterday morning and sent them an e-mail with some requests concerning the order itself and some questions. No answer for the whole day. In the end, I PM-ed them here in the forums and got a response the same day in the evening.
Then I sent another email this morning. The response came in the afternoon, but everything turned out perfectly - they found my first email, they read everything through and sent me 2 replies, which fixed everything.
They are gonna ship my notebook these days and everything is gonna be perfectly fine.
Ordered a W370ET, btw
P.S. I definetely reccomend MySN, as they offer cool prices & the best hardware on the market right now. I have been reading positive feedback for their service since early 2011 when I first started to interest myself for Clevos.
They definetely care about their customers and if some issue would arise, they would take care of things.
Just make sure you e-mail them hard enough before ordering, so you know exactly if the parts you have chosen are in-stock and to avoid waiting times and confusion.
Or you can PM them here on the forums, the guys who run the account ALWAYS answer fast (I have asked many questions throughout this year and they replied nicely).
As a recommendation to MySN - you guys should definetely make a Live Chat or make a Skype account to help out with communications.
And definetely read the emails more often -
i think its only mySN germany that doesnt have live chat. mySN UK already has live chat on their website.

AVOID HAWKFORCE.DE, I had really bad experience with their support. I had a problem with my HD (in warranty) but it was REALLY HARD to get in touch with them, and it took more then a month to have my PC back...
mysn.de VS pcsystems-evolutionx.de VS hawkforce.de ???
