After looking up different choices and after research for about two months I decided to go with the Sager NP6165 from XoticPc. I almost bought directly from Sager but decided to go with Xotic because of the great reveiews. I had chatted in Live Chat several times, they were always helpful and friendly.
I ordeered with a couple upgrades about a month and a half ago and hppily ordered it. I had to confirm order by phone which set the first phase to be about three days. It took about the same amount of time as it did normally in build and than shipped. (Ships from Calofornia)
I noticed after receiving the laptop that I was charged a shipping fee although the code SAGERFREESHIP was in the comment box. I had forgot to mention it than and just remembered it now. I'm guessing its a bit late for that anyways. Right when I received it and started setting it up it began to loudly beep and than shut down, I had no idea what the problem was. I attempted to call but got no answer twice so tried to test out the battery. I figured out that it wasn't the probem.
i called the next day and talked to Donald at XoticPc. He said to try switching around the power and AC again which I did. I called back and they said to see if the fan was running. since I didn;t have a small enough screw driver I had to go and buy one. (Returned it afterwards but still was an inconvenice. I know its not their problem also. ) I found out that the fan was the problem and called Sager on Tuesday to get a new fan shipped out. I had asked if I could just ship the laptop back as I didn't want to try to install a new fan. (Not very computer techy) They had more or less refused and said it would be shipped tomorow (Wednesday) nd would arrive friday or Monday. I was okay that they had shipped it though adn awaited for the fan. I called back Tuesday since it was supposed to arrive and was told it was sent out yesterday (Monday) insted of Wednesday as they had said. I got it on Thursday and started to take out the old fan. I had trouble getting it off and called XoticPc, they were helpful and helped me. I still had some trouble and was told to call sager. When I had called Sager than and before I felt rushed on the phone.
I got it off and installed the new one. Lucky me, it still didn;t work. I called Sager and talked to Donald again. I didn;t feel rushed at all and they were patient and helpful. He told me I would have to submit a RMA and get it shipped to Sager in California. I called back a little bit later to talk about the RMA (Never used before) and they even filled out and submitted the RMA for me. I received two emails about how to send the package back, one from Xotic and one from Sager. The one from Sager was short and relatively unclear, XoticPc gave instructions on every step of how to send it back. It was clear and very helpful.
After I had sent it the tracking information said it was delievered three days later in early afternoon. I got emailed from Sager the next dayjust saying they had received it, (UPS mistake or Sager?). About four or five days later I recieved an email from David from Sager about the laptop. It was very unprofessionaldue to bad grammer ( not full sentances, no capitalziatons etc.).
I was told five days later that they had replaced the fan (?) and went through testing, I did have to request the info as well. I got it shipped back after beig there for about a week. They never said it has been shipped, again I had asked for any updates and they told me it was hipped days ago. After four day shipping I got my laptop and found it working proeperly after buying it about a month earlier. I've been useing it for two weeks now and am happy to say its all running fine.
I was very happy with my experience with XoticPc in getting it fixed, I will defniaiately buying my next one from them and recommend them to friends and family. I'm not sure about buying with Sager though due to my experence with them. It was lacking in quality in both the phone and in the emails, I was happy that it was fixed the first time.
So I was a little confused about Sager, but XoticPc was great.

Its never fun when you have to send a computer back to get fixed but im glad we were able to take care of you pretty quickly and get the computer working as it should.
