So, I just ordered a NP9150 with an AMD 7970m from XoticPC after chatting with Roland. He was very direct and helpful, and as far as I can tell the price is at least 75 dollars cheaper than anywhere else after the NBR member discount.
Here's a summary of the system (the important bits):

Total came to $1,534, with a $46 cash discount, free shipping (UPS ground) and a $50 NBR member discount. I expect to have a bill of around $1,438, which is pretty ridonculous for this system.
So far, so good. Roland was very helpful, so I have high hopes for the quality of their tech support. I will update this thread with more info as the sales process progresses.

I'm glad you're enjoying your experience with us! Roland isn't on here but I'll be sure to let him know of your praise and he'll be in touch with you if you have any other questions during the process. Thanks again!

So it took XoticPC until next Monday (which includes all business day last Friday) to get back to me with the final price so I can pay them. The laptop is into Phase 2 now, which they say will take 9-16 business days. I think I can safely say that this is about the slowest way to get a laptop, which is a bit of a turnoff from the whole "Custom Reseller" thing. If the laptop doesn't ship by next Friday I will be a sad panda.
On the plus side, XoticPC has kept up the good service, letting me change payment methods at the last minute to a "Secured Payment" dealio where they authorize my card for the full price and start building immediately, and then only charge me the cash discount price when my check arrives.
Final price was $1,454.33. Not sure where that extra $16 over the expected price comes from, but I'm not gonna argue about it. -
if i on phase 2 could i still get the nbr discount?

The NBR discount is still able to be applied, but the $50 discount portion of it is not being offered while the Sager Summer Sale is being offered. If you want to apply the NBR discount, you'll want to contact your processing analyst to get that taken care of.
XoticPC, Liveblog of sorts
