Friday, June 15 my order of NP6110 was placed; on Saturday, June 16 the order was confirmed and it was in phase 1 (order confirmation). I ordered the matte display for an additional $189 and it adds 4-7 business days to the order.
Yesterday: Monday, June 18: I requested IC Thermal paste which I did not originally choose during the initial customization process.

I may be going with xoticPC. Any suggestions on friendly people over there? ;P. And congrats on the new laptop lol.
-
Thanks pal.
Roland is a great sales representative. I forgot to type in the SAGERFREESHIP coupon to get free shipping and as a result I was charged $28.00. Upon speaking with Roland, he informed me I would be refunded the shipping charge without a hassle...so that is that.
Later, (during phase 1 of the order) I contacted the XoticPC team and told them I wanted to add IC thermal diamond paste for an additional $25. That same day my request was granted, and now I will be refunded $3 after tallying up these past two events.
In any case, the people are wonderful to deal with and I am currently in Phase 2 (Sent for Custom Building / Testing / Burn In & Final QA). Expected shipping time 9-16 business days. -
Phase 3 as of today.
Most people will go straight from phase 2 to phase 4 because the phase 3 process is when the item gets shipped to xoticpc for custom modifications that the manufacturer does not do. In my case, I chose the matte screen; thus I have to wait a few extra days. -
Just received an email saying my order is on hold because the matte screen is not working properly and they are trying to troubleshoot it. I told them to just give me the glosse and refund me the $189.
Damn that is frustrating. -
Better than getting a bad screen through!!
-
You're right. I am glad that they told me of the issue.
So far they are actually a very great group to do business with. They email me back promptly and apply all refunds/additions without a hassle. -
Shipped yesterday and scheduled delivery is Monday.
I still am yet to receive a refund on the monitor. -

So far so good. Installing drivers now.

Solid, solid laptop. I can't believe a machine so small can have so much power.
I am a little worried about the temps, but I have not experienced any problems thus far. And I have a cooling pad with the IC Diamond paste. -

Very glad you're enjoying it! Out of curiosity, what temps are you seeing?
-
90 Celsius while playing BF3 after 30 min. Is that safe?
I am not overclocking. -
umm... maybe you should try raising the laptop from the back a bit heard it gives more airflow and better cooling that way.....
-
its pretty high if you ask me >.>

I would agree it's a little high, but you also have to take into account it's a GT 650 playing BF3, 90 is the upper threshold of what I can tolerate seeing but any higher and I'd get worried. There was a burn in done on the laptop but it might be that the Thermal Compound still needs to cure a little more. I'd baby it for a little while and then try again in about a week or so. You'll probably see better temperatures then.
-
Alright. What's a good program to use to monitor temps?
(While playing BF3 if possible, without a drop in FPS) -

I've been using this with some pretty good luck -
Temps seem to be in the 70's now. Everything is working nice and smooth.
Thanks a bunch Derek -
I will report back when I am refunded the $189 for the matte.

Ordered Asus N76 from Xotic, just few upgrade. It's on phase 2 for about 12 days since 08/01. I think it's gonna fast cuz it just like stock, not much delay for build time.
