Where is the content of this thread? I was interested in reading it.
I'm fairly new here, but -assuming that this was done by admins- could admins please provide reason or give notice when jamming their hammers down? It's quite annoying this business of just deleting posts and threads without some explanation. It could just be "violated rule 2.38B section C of forum code", but something at least.

I had originally posted asking peoples' opinions between XoticPC and PowerNoteBook as I am interested in the Sager NP9130 and was having trouble deciding on a reseller. I did say twice that I didn't wish to cause an argument but perhaps the mods felt that it was still too inflammatory and removed the post. I am however rather confused why 1) the post was simply removed rather than locking or deleting the entire thread and 2) no notification as to why it was removed was given. Perhaps it was just a glitch?

It's a forum glitch, been going on for a while now.

It's an annoying forum software/server glitch. No posts have been removed. There are blank threads being submitted as well as double posts/duplicate threads. Techs are looking into it.
-
Ah, I see. In that case would it be better for me to put my original post in here or to simply start a new thread as this one has been rather sidetracked?

In here.....

Ok, my original post (paraphrased):
Hello, I've been looking for a new computer and am interested in the Sager NP9130. However I am having some trouble deciding on which reseller to purchase from. Both XoticPC and PowerNoteBooks currently have the same discounts (3% cash and free shipping) and when priced out the system differs by only $.01. Also looking both here and elsewhere both companies appear legitimate and are reputed to have good customer service. Consequently I have been literally unable to choose between the two. I was hoping that I might obtain some advice and opinions in order to help me decide. -

What would be the best way of contacting them?

Ultimately how they treat you is what's going to sway your business anyways right. -
I purchased 30 of the previous generation NP8130's and have an order open for 5 of the NP9130's from PowerNotebooks in the works. Both PowerNotebooks (and Donald) have been great to work with, they have been in business since the 90's for good reason.
I've been happy with the durability of the last generation Sager NP8130 laptops, they are in use 8-12 hours a day under pretty heavy rendering workloads and travel frequently to client sites without significant wear and tear that I've seen so far. Compared to the Dell Latitude series laptops that they replaced, these don't have nearly the issues with failing fans/keyboards or USB ports that I saw in the Dell line.
Out of the 30 Sagers we run today I've had one bad (Intel) solid state drive that had to be replaced and one mainboard killed by a user with a case of flailing limbs that put a whole glass of water into the unit while it was powered on.... -
I just ordered a sager 9170 from Power notebooks today, Ill post here after I receive my laptop. And how my experience was, great customer service from Donald very helpful...
