Decided to order the Sager NP8651/Clevo P650SE from XoticPC due to them being the only re-seller with my upgrades totaling $30 less than other re-sellers.

Honestly, the reviews I heard before ordering from them have been weighted more on the favorable mentions. There are a few bad experiences that I've read but I'm opportunistic about the whole order anyways.

Below you will find the Process that has gone on so far, and what will hopefully come:

November 8th (Saturday): I successfully ordered the Sager NP8651/Clevo P650SE after some lengthy debating, and got an e-mail confirmation right after the order.

November 10th (Monday): I received a status update PHASE 0: Order Recieved & Processing.

November 11th (Tuesday): I received a call from a Sales Associate to verify my credit card and the order.

November 12th (Wednesday): A status update was e-mailed to me PHASE 1: Payment Processed & Inventory Gathering. The e-mail, sent by the Sales Associate, also explained the time it would take for each Phase. For Sager models, it was estimated to be around 7-12 Business Days in total before being shipped. Since I am in Phase 1 now, the time frame for it is 3-7 Days before moving onto Phase 2.

November 17th (Monday): Status update e-mail! PHASE 2: Sager Assembly, Build, Technical Analysis, Stress Testing & QA!!!! I'm extremely happy that it actually took only 3 days without Rush Production to move on to the next phase. This e-mail states that my laptop will now ship in 2-4 days! I'm very impressed and glad how fast things are moving along.

November 18th (Tuesday): The e-mail I've been waiting for....! PHASE 7: Packaged & Shipped This is mind-boggling but amazing! I'm not sure if I'm lucky or not, but I did not expect this to ship out till next week. It's coming to me this Friday evening apparently and I'm so excited right now. I'm looking at the tracking right now and it states that it shipped yesterday afternoon, and I got the PHASE 2 update yesterday morning. Either they added the parts and stress tested it extremely fast, built it earlier than the e-mails were sent, or they didn't necessarily go "hard" on the testing at all. However, I'm not complaining...this is a fast process and I'm happy to be getting it before Thanksgiving which is CRAZY since I'm on the other side of the country and expected the shipping to be around 4-6 days and not 3!!

November 24th (Monday): The package arrived after some issues with UPS. Glad to have it resolved. Opened it up and there was not a hint of damage or anything! First impressions: It looks fantastic, feels fantastic, and the sound system is just so superior compared to my previous laptop. Downloading programs that I need right now and hope to get some games down and test this baby out! Thank you XoticPC and Sager for providing me a quality laptop with amazing features!

Disclaimer: PHASE 3, 4, 5, and 6 are phases that occur if your laptop gets shipped to XoticPC in Nebraska for further customization.

I will update as the time progresses. For now, I'm pleased where things have gone. The online chat for questions and their customer support in general have been splendid so far. Hoping to get the laptop by Thanksgiving (if not earlier) or a little after it.

If any of you guys have any questions about my order in general, feel free to ask. Below are the specs of the laptop that I have ordered:

-15.6” FHD 16:9 LED Backlit Wide screen (1920x1080) Super Clear Matte Type Sager Screen (Sidenote: Will probably replace with an IPS Screen in the future.)

    -4th Generation Intel® Haswell Core™ i7-4710HQ (2.5GHz - 3.5GHz, 6MB Intel® Smart Cache)

-IC Diamond Thermal Compound. (Sidenote: This is an absolute must for me, and should be for everyone)

    -NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 970M (3.0GB) GDDR5 PCI-Express DX11 (Maxwell) w/ Optimus™ Technology

-16GB DDR3 1600MHz [2x8GB] Dual Channel Memory (Sidenote and Update: The RAM brand I got was Samsung. I chose the default RAM and Xotic said that it could have been anything so I am pleased.)

    -128GB Crucial M550 M.2 mSATA SSD - Preconfigured as an OS Drive ( Operating System – Drive C: )

-1TB 7200RPM [SATA II - 3GB/s] (Sidenote: Bummed about there being no more space for other drives, but hey..you take what you can get...portability!)

-Intel® Dual Band AC 7260 802.11 A/AC/B/G/N 2.4/5.0GHz + Bluetooth™ 4.0 (Sidenote: I've heard bad things about the default B/G/N card, and amazing things about this.)

-Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit (Sidenote: Apparently DX12 will not be supported on Windows 7...what a bummer.)

    -No Rush Production

Looking forward to the rest of the review. People tend to like to know what specs you got, you can just include the upgraded parts if any to make it easier.

Laptop was received. It looks and is great! Brightness could have been better but I think I'm okay with it enough to not switch out the screen for now.

Great to hear its gotten to you safe and sound. I also do not mind the standard screen, its good to hear your feedback on it as there has been some discussion about it lately.
