1)Is there a big difference between nVidia GeForce GTX 675MX and the AMD Radeon HD 7970M.?
2) is 16gb memory too much? (I'm going to use the computer mainly for games)

The 7970M is showing its a good option now that the drivers updates are fixing the previous issues that were reported. For the price its the way to go for gaming performance.
Just dont forget to add Windows to your build unless you have a copy already you plan on installing.
16GB is more then you'll need for gaming but its getting to be the standard amount. Go with it an you wont have to worry about upgrading anytime soon.

The 9170 is a really great machine as far as specs and value. Be aware that the sound system sucks, in my opinion. You will need something like the Fiio E17, which is a DAC\Amplifier. Or at least a DAC. You might be satisfied with the sound via earphone jack or bluetooth headphones. That's all personal preference. Also, the fingerprint reader is another weakness. It works fine for some and not at all for others. Other than those two issues this is an awesome machine and will give you years of gaming pleasure.
I would recomend more research on the benefits of the cards you mentioned. I don't have experience with either but I do know there are people firmly devoted to one or the other.
16Gb of RAM is more than enough. If it is in your budget then go for it. It can't hurt and the price is fair market price. Plus it will be matched already for you.

Thanks for the replied I actually didn't know about the sound problems. But I guess is too late I order the laptop yesterday , I will definitely look into the fiio e17 if the sound really sucks that much. Thank you again!

 

Congrats on the order! There isnt anything you can do for the sound anyway and since the sound card is USB you can always buy that later if you're not happy with how it is.
