Hey everybody new to the forums but I thought I'd give everybody a little insight into my experience so far with Xoticpc.

First off this is my first delve into buying a dedicated gaming laptop and was very unsure about whether i wanted to go with a lesser known brand such as Sager. After doing a lot of research including many posts on here I finally decided upon the most stereotypical Sager 8268-S with a few upgrades but nothing drastic (16gbs ram, 120 gb ssd) the bare minimum for upgrades as I saw fit. But most notably I paid $49 for RUSH production. Needless to say when i finally hit the order button my excitement was at an all time high....now not so much.

After making my payment and getting it through phase 0 (which took a few days) my order has been stuck in phase 1. My excitement is waning because the length of time for these phases to process is taking forever. I did call XoticPC and ask if there was any sort of backorder on parts or systems and was reassured that I wouldnt have to worry as according to them, all the parts necessary for my laptop were at Sager. If this was the case then why is my order stuck in phase 1 still? Its been at least a week since the date of my purchase and im stuck twirling my fingers wondering why I paid $50 for a rush production when it doesnt even seen to be moving at such a pace?

Hopefully when business is back on and running tomorrow I can get a bump from phase 1 but I kind of wish I knew beforehand the lengthiness of time it would have taken for every phase to go through. Looks like the $50 rush production may have been a waste?

    Welcome to NBR!

Sager updates are slightly different then the models that are build directly by us. With Sager you'll stay at Phase 1 for the most part then get pretty much all the rest of the Phases in one day, this is because Sager doenst provide us their build process updates. Just once it has shipped.

Rush production does get it built, tested, and shipped within the 1-4 business days of the order being processed. If you click my name in my signature and provide me with your order number I'll be happy to check it out on Monday.

For an update the payment did clear on Sept-10 via bank wire transfer and the order was approved for production, in this case as mentioned, Rush production was selected.
I did contact Sager to get an ETA on when it will ship and they said it should be done today (Monday 9-15) This makes the time from payment clearing to shipping 3 business days. Hope that clears up any questions. If not feel free to post here or reply to the email I sent you.

Just a quick update. Package is scheduled to arrive this Friday! Fingers crossed hoping everything is delivered clean and spotless.

I want to give a thank you to Hutsady especially for easing me through the process and actually calling and following through with Sager to figure out what the status was on the laptop. He treated me as if I was his own client (your assigned a person at XoticPC to help you through your process) and was fairly prompt at responding to emails in a timely fashion. I will give an update to this review once the package has finally arrived.

Wanted to give an update after getting to play around with the laptop for a few days to make sure everything was in working order.

First off I decided to change my deliver method to pickup because UPS was delivering it while I had work and got it on Friday morning promptly at 10AM. Needless to say so far this laptop has been nothing short of beautiful. XoticPC helped guide me through the process although I feel like unless youre proactive about the status of your order itself the customer service doesnt really come through. The clevo model itself is nice and professional looking while still being an absolute beast with everything i've thrown at it. I do need to talk to XoticPC about whether or not I can purchase an extended warranty at some point in the future though.

Overall the experience was pleasant although nerve wrecking at times being that it is an online order but XoticPC/Sager have come through and met my expectations. Hopefully the customer service is just as beneficial for after buying the product as they are during the buy.

You can get warranty added to it as long as it doesn't include accidental coverage, I believe that's doable for 90 days. Just contact our service team by email or through our 24 hour support with your order number and serial number ready.
