Okay so I just thought I'd put this here to record my experiences thus far:
9-24-14 - Called as soon as they opened and talked to Jeremy B who was pretty cool. Helped me decide that the Sager NP7358 with some upgrade were the right path for me. Ordered it with the i7-4710, 860m (Maxwell), 12gb of RAM, 120gb SSD, 1tb 7200rpm HDD. The order was placed around 11:00 AM and it went into Phase 1 at around 5:30 - 6:00 PM EST.
9-25-14 - The Order was updated but nothing was added to the text box. Later that evening I talked to Live Chat and inquired about exact build times because I was told a couple of different times. One thing stated 9 - 16 and I read on a forum that someone had their within a week of ordering. I also asked about the warranty and got an answer. I asked another question concerning the warranty but the operator went silent and I sat there for another 7 minutes before leaving. Didn't really bother me, but a quick message telling me he would be right back would have been nice.
9-26-14 - No update, I assumed as much. Apparently Sager doesn't tell Xotic about their build process.
9-27-14 - No update, not a business day.
This is going to be the longest 7 - 12 business days of my life, since I didn't pay for rush building.

Hopefully we'll be able to provide you updates soon, we pass them along as soon as we get the. As you mentioned weekends Sager is out of the office and there will not be any updates. They also dont provide us with details during the build process, just as soon as they have the computer ready to ship. Once you get a phase 2 update you can usually expected the shipped phase 7 update within a day or to granted there are no Xotic PC services that it needs to come to us for.
Sounds like you will update this as soon as that happens, and please do so we can get a good estimate of how Sager is doing on build times. -
No update yesterday, but it was Sunday. No update yet today. Not expecting an update until the end of the week considering what Hutsady has said - that is if the build is a 7 business day build. If not it could be the middle of next week.

Got an email saying that it had been updated and almost had a heart attack in excitement just to see that it was a courtesy update letting me know that I still have a 7 to 12 day waiting period total. So 5 - 10 more business days now.

So, I haven't had an update since Monday which was the 29th. Today being business day number 6/7 depending on if the day I ordered it counts, but I'm assuming it doesn't so I'll go with 6. The courtesy update Monday says parts gathering estimate is 5- 7 business days so I am expecting it to go to phase 2 tomorrow if the estimate is correct.
As a bit of a critique it would be nice to see more updates from sager during the build process. I understand that xotic gets little to no information during the process, so this is directed at sager themselves. I guess on the flip side though if they spend all their time updating they'd spend less time building. Again though I am paying $1000+, maybe a few more updated would be nice. That is just a minor complaint. -
Just got my phase 2 update. With any luck it will ship out tomorrow and have it by mid week.

Phase 2 is a good sign that is pretty much ready to go. You should get a shipped notification soon along with a tracking number.

If the tracking shows it shipped on Thursday the 2nd that would be 6 business days since you placed it (the day you placed it doesn't count). So a little better then the 7-12 business day original estimate. Let us know your thoughts once you get it.

Yeah I was surprised. I was expecting at least another weeks wait shipping time included. Hopefully UPS doesn't treat her too harshly.

So I've come to the conclusion that UPS is incompetent. My package was delayed last night at their distribution facility three hours from my home and two hours from the local UPS facility. Instead of the package being routed to my local facility it was sent more than 12 hours away to Northern Virginia and then sent back to the facility that is three hours away and has been stuck there since 8:30 AM with no updates since. I spoke to one live chat operator as soon as they opened this morning and she assured me that it was scheduled for delivery today, 3:00 PM rolls around and the UPS guy has come and gone and no package so I talk to a second operator who informs me that due to the delay yesterday the package isn't being delivered until tomorrow and it was a guaranteed delivery. No updates had been posted so at 9:00 PM I spoke to a third live chat operator who informed me that they had no information regarding the schedule of my package or why it has been delayed yet again and that I had to wait at least twenty four hours to see if the site updates with information. He then went on to tell me that there were no guarantees of delivery tomorrow and then after asking what the chances of a delivery tomorrow were he told me he didn't have any information and rudely disconnected the chat without even asking if I had anymore questions.
So if the delivery time goes over the guaranteed 5 days that ground promises I don't know what compensation sager can get, but one of the live chat operators informed me that if I was dissatisfied and it went over guaranteed dates I would have to take it up with who I ordered it from. -

In my personal experience, most companies live chat operators are completely worthless. With the exception of us of course
Shoot me a PM with your order number and I'll see what I can do to help out with this. Us as a company contacting UPS, or rather Sager as is likely the case, have a lot more pull than a single recipient does with UPS. -
