Special thanks to Justin@XoticPc for all the responses to my questions before and during the order process. Always quick and very informative. Also follows up to make sure everything is going as it should. Superb customer service all around!!!! Thanks!!!!!

    Timetable below:

    12/20/2011 Phase 1 (Order Confirmation)-Automatic Generated Response
12/21/2011 Phase 1 (Order Confirmation)-Detailed Email with Wire Transfer/Payment Instructions.
12/22/2011 Phase 2 (Sent for Custom Building / Testing / Burn In & Final QA)-Acknowledgement of Wire Transfer and Next Step.
12/28/2011 Phase 4 (Order Shipped) Your order with Xotic PC has shipped!
    01/03/2012 Order Received!

There was also a handfull of emails exchanged in-between these dates. Order was actually shipped faster than I thought it would; considering the holidays. The product I received was as ordered and so far no complaints....that review is for another thread though.

Did you pay for rush production? Mine has been stuck at phase 2 since 12/21/2011 :(

If I have your order correctly it appears you have a MSI laptop ordered will be shipping toward the later part of the 5-10 business day lead time quoted to you (keep in mind there were 2 holidays in there and additionally we just moved the end of last week :(). Yours is a little different then the above as your machine is built at our production facility. You should have a tracking # soon. :)

No I did not; I also just ordered pretty standard stuff. I'm sure if I went with a 17 inch Sager and opted for the 95% Gamut screen, that it would of took longer; due to the laptop having to travel from the Sager factory to Xotic Pc's for installation. Some upgraded parts/modifications I believe are done at Xotic Pc's factory only; which would of course take more time.

Yes that would be fine to get it to you by Satruday if you do rush and a fast shipping option like next day shipping. When you go through checkout make sure to enter in the comments box that you need it by May 19th and we'll do everything we can to make sure it gets to you in time.

What is the average estimated delivery date if rush shipping is not selected? I've ordered mine on July 4th.

Thanks Hutsady for your quick response. Now I get a rough estimate of delivery date for my order. Since I have added Xoticpc White glove packing service, I believe it should be 10-14days from the day I ordered. Roughly, by end of next week.

You're very welcome. The White Glove does have to come to us to do so yes it will add those extra days. Once they ship it to us we'll email you then once it ships from us to you we'll email you again and include a tracking number then.

I find it interesting some people go for the white glove option. It only seems to make sense to do if the user lives on the other side of the country or the unit is going out of country as it gets shipped to Xotic the same way Sager ships all and after repacked better and sent off. If you live close to CA it's probably less risk to just have it sent directly without doing that is it's one less drop off/pick up and sorting done via UPS.

That said if you live say in GA or something far, it has to go across the country so it could help of course :)

Now for things Xotic stocks and sells such as other laptop brands whom they can ship direct of course it makes sense too though :)

I did realize this, but late. Sager facility is in CA and I live in CA. Had I not opted for White Glove packaging, I would have already received my laptop by now. I was under the assumption that Xoticpc keeps the stock, does the upgrade and QA, which turns out to be wrong.

Just opted for White glove packaging to avoid any logistics damages due to the high investment I have put-in. My bad. Should have researched this fact earlier.

Now, it has to go from CA to Nebraska and then back to CA. :(

When you live in CA we ship it to us first anyway. We can have Sager ship directly to you however since it would be in the same state we would have to collect for sales tax. Now we dont have to :)
