    Hi there.

I've been meaning to replace my current 17 inch monster with a more portable form, and came to the Clevo W110 as the solution. Now, I've noticed a variety of resellers selling it, from Mythology to Powernotebooks to Xotic PC.

I'm all for getting the most performance out of it as possible. And Xotic PC's configuration menu gave an intriguing possibility of a "redline overclocking" that isn't available from other resellers.

I have several questions regarding this:
    1) How much performance boost can I expect? I noticed several users in this forum mentioning things like BIOS upgrades etc - does anyone know if Xotic's overclocking includes these?

    2) Is overclocking in the W110ER worth it? Is the added performance I might get worth the additional cost both from the configuration and the potential 1-day-after-warranty-breakdown-itis?

    3) Does anyone else have any experience with Xotic PC's overclocks? Please tell us some stories.

Depending on the answer, and Xotic's potential notebookreview users' discounts, I may be sold :D

We dont know exactly how well the GT 650M will overclock as it hasnt started shipping but if its like other Nvidia cards we usually get around 15% increase in performance. The overclocking does not update the BIOS but since this computer is so new i dont think there will be any yet.
For gaming its really the only thing you can do to make it run better. I can say it is a popular option though as its an easy way to get more out of your hardware.

And overclocking is something the end user can perform themselves fairly easily. Although I don't know how Xotic handles warranty claims for parts damaged from overclocking. Not that they could probably tell how a gpu was damaged, but it could be a way for you to get overclocking covered by warranty I guess..

The warranty is a huge thing, if the card is damaged while we overclocking we would be able to get another machine right away. The Overclock itself is also covered by us under warranty. Now if you did it yourself and components were damaged its not covered under warranty.
