Well first of all I have been a VERY LONG TIME lurker and feel like I should start contributing because I do know a decent amount.

Anyways a friend a few years back bought a BAD A55 laptop from WidowPC.com. If I'm not mistaken they use Clevo shells on some of their laptops. What happened to them? I know they were well known, and when Michael Dell bought Alienware as Dell's gaming laptop division he called the WidowPC owner and asked him a few questions. They still have standards such as Windows Vista, 2GB of Ram etc. they are still using old nVidia 200 series cards. Are they still in business... what happened? They haven't updated their stuff in forever.

I feel like this is the kinda thread that will be ignored, so any experiences, knowledge etc. just say as well. Doesn't have to be a surefire answer.

It seems that the turnover rate for small resellers is somewhat fast. Unfortunately.

Are you implying they went out of business? And my friend confirmed that they are NOT resellers. It's funny, he had such a good experience it's been 4 years and he hasn't called them, checked the site etc. He said the laptop cost upwards of $3000. I only noticed 1 laptop with Windows 7.

yeah mofricking expensive but an amazing machine.

That amazing machine is to be bought almost anywhere.

Find a new resellers, seems like their website hasn't been update for ages, nor any of their stuff.

Nothing on that site is less than 2 years old at least. It would seem they paid in advance for the domain, but went kaput.
