This is a VERY through review. Take every thing with a grain of salt and make your own judgements. I have done my best to present all the facts, give respect where it is due and present my own mistakes. This is just my experience buying through Mythlogic's website and working with their respected reps(sales/tech support). Combing through numerous review websites, forums, YouTube vids and PC/Laptop builders. I deicide to go with a Clevo P750DM-G (Deimos1615S) and buy my computer through Mythlogic. Why Mythlogic?
Four reasons
What I ordered
- Best reviews (Tons of great reviews all over the web)
- Cheapest (Almost the exact configuration/build with other PC builders and they are the cheapest)
- Financing(For me, this was big because I'm trying to boost my credit. Usually pay in cash)
- Their "Mythlogic Assurance" guarantee

From the beginning
10-28-15 I fill out my finance paperwork and was approved. I confirmed with the finance rep. Placed my order, made a down payment and created my Mythlogic website account
11-02-15 Contacted sales rep through IM about not getting a response if my complete payment had been made because I had not received anything confirming payment had been made.
Here is the IM conversation
13:48:53 Hi ZeroKelvin, how can I help you?
13:49:09 Hi, I had placed an order on Oct 28 and I wanted to make sure complete payment has been made.
13:50:18 You paid the balance via PayPal, right?
13:50:37 correct and financed
13:52:30 Yes, we received the PayPal payment. The financing is done through a third party. they will handle the billing for that part.
13:53:17 Okay, are you still waiting for there part?
13:57:22 So are you still waiting for them to make(financing company) payment? How long does that normally take on average?
14:00:20 Our sales department handles that, but once financing has been approved and any balance is paid, the process begins. Keep in mind that the status updates are done manually and in batches.
14:07:33 Gotcha, do you have their number? I was approved last week and I just want to get confirmation that 100% of payment has been met. When you say status updates, you're talking about the "Order Status" from online, correct? Because that's what I'm going off of too and it's been on "processing".
14:08:42 If there are any issues, they will contact you.
14:09:36 They sent the invoice for the balance. If there was a problem with financing, they would not have done that.
14:10:58 Okay, great. That's all I needed to hear. Thanks a lot for your time and I am really looking forward to my new computer from y'all. Have a good day.
14:12:01 Thanks, you too.
12-1-16 I get a tracking number and notification my package has been sent and will arrive on 12-4-15
There was some issues with UPS and it caused a delay in me getting my package.
12-10-15 I finally received my computer (due to UPS delay and I am deployed to SD, so it needed to be shipped here). Right of the bat I looked at the system info, noticed that there was only 8 gigs of ram and I had paid for 16 gigs. Mythlogic QUICKLY fixed the problem. They sent me the 16 gigs (1-3 day shipping) and I returned the 8 gigs.
Here is the email chain from 12-11-15
Me- Good afternoon,
I have just received my order and upon inspection I noticed there was only 8 gigs of ram installed. I placed my order for 16 gigs (@2400MHz). I have attached pictures and my order number is 56312580 Thanks for your time. (NOTE I attached 3 pic of the missing ram and my order list)
Them-Can you show us the screen shot of your system control center Control Panel\System and Security\System
Me- I sent them the screen shot of system info and the system info from Intel's Extreme Tuning Utility
Them- Thanks! We will ship out a 16GB kit and then you can send the 8GB kit back. Our apologies for the oversight.
So for me that was their first major oversight but immediately corrected. However, since day one there was a issue with the graphics. Every other start-up/restart (cold or not), the Font/Text was jagged/pixelated. You could restart the computer and it would fix it but the next start up, it's back. At the time it had the latest graphic drivers. (Remember Mythlogic's says " The latest component drivers are installed and optimized and all components and I/O ports are verified to work without issue.") So I just blew it off for now. I'll get back to the driver issue in a few.
12-12-15 After installing Steam, Fallout 4 and Malware Antimalware(without even running Fallout or Malware), I rebooted the computer, it began a boot-to-desktop-crash-reboot cycle. The computer just kept crashing. ( First mistake, I should have contacted Mythlogic at this point) No worries right? I'll just restore it to before I installed my programs. Not so fast.....No restore point created. Crap! Okay, no big deal. I'll just recover the whole computer and I won't lose much..... NO RECOVERY PARTITION FOUND!!!! Going through Windows 10 safe mode stuff, I realized then Mythlogic (second major oversight) had not pointed/directed it to the correct location/Or they never ran it like they said they would (Remember Mythlogic's says RECOVERY KIT "Finally after all assembly, configuration and testing are completed a custom backup image of your system is created. And as you may have guessed, we don’t stop there... We test the Recovery image by restoring to an identical hard drive setup and run this image through the same software configuration and benchmark testing. If the recovery test fails, we restart the recovery kit process.") I could not recover my computer using the normal Windows 10 methods without digging deep into CMD prompt (I should not have had to do that). I only received a Windows 10 disk from Mythlogic but......this Deimos 1615S has no CD drive. ( Out of principle I'm not going to go out and by an external CD drive and plus I'm in BFE South Dakota)
Now here's where I have to admit my second mistake and swallow my pride. In my hast of trying to fix my crashing computer, I messed up and clicked on "RESET"(I've kicked myself many times already about it already). Well that fixed my computer but wiped out all of the manufactures (Clevo's, not Mythlogic's) drivers/software. Like Thunderbolt, Onkyo drivers, Sound Blaster X-fi stuff. After reinstalling the software and drivers (that was tricky because Mythlogic does not even have (Deimos 1615S) drivers on their own website. Thankfully Clevo did), I had it running smoothly until rebooting and got an "IRQL_NOT LESS OR EQUAL and KERNAL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE" and the computer started it's crash-reboot cycle again. I admitted defeat and so I turned to Mythlogic Tech support. In this IM I was hoping to get Mythlogic's drivers so I could have exactly what Mythlogic put on the computer, not what I pulled from Clevo. However you will see that did not happen and again thankfully Clevo had them.
Here is my IM with that tech on 12-13-2015
12:08:10 Hi how can I help you?
12:08:24 Hey sorry to bug you on a Sunday but I'm having some issues.
12:08:45 What's up?
12:09:19 So I've been getting crashes after restarting
12:10:30 my errors are IRQL_NOT LESS OR EQUAL
12:10:54 and KERNAL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE
12:10:56 does it happen randomly?
12:12:28 Nope just started after changing general setting and I just installed Fallout 4 and Malware Antimalware.
12:13:30 is it stuck in a loop at this point or does it get into windows sometimes?
12:13:49 It's stuck in a loop. After trying system repair, nothing work either
12:14:01 Can you get it into safemode?
12:15:57 Yes you can, I only received my Windows 10 recover disk, no drivers/utilities either(don't know if it came with it or not)
12:16:08 In safe mode now
12:16:49 ok so something that got installed hosed it up. Ok can you uninstall what you just installed?
12:17:08 Already done, no luck
12:19:00 Do you have system recovery USBs with drivers and utilities for my computer on backup?
12:19:28 Honestly there is only like 2 drivers you need that NVidia.com doesn't have, so its not a big deal to reinstall the OS
12:19:38 as long as you have a USB stick (8GB+) around
12:20:00 but before you do that
12:20:01 I do, just need the link then.
12:20:02 can you run msconfig
12:20:10 Yes I will
12:20:28 then put it into diagnostic startup and reboot
12:20:41 and you don't have anything interesting plugged into USB correct?
12:20:42 like anything
12:20:57 or really anything plugged into it? (except for maybe Ethernet)
12:21:51 okay, running now. Nope pulled them out already. No Ethernet either
12:22:02 Restarting
12:22:07 k
12:22:47 At desktop
12:23:01 great, so it started up?
12:23:19 yes, and appears to be holding
12:23:22 ok so there is a tab in msconfig labeled services
12:23:31 and it should have a bunch of stuff disabled at this point
12:24:01 heading back to msconfig now
12:24:32 yes, it does
12:25:05 ok, so now this is guess and check
12:25:15 start enabling them slowly until it doesn't boot anymore
12:25:23 haha, gotcha
12:25:58 hopefully its something that was installed and then you'll just have to remove it
12:28:05 okay, I'll start checking and giving it a try. on a different note, just for my knowledge, is there a list in your drivers menu that's for my computer? I don't see my computer listed.
12:28:18 we're getting those up and listed soon
12:28:30 we wanted to get the machines out first then get all the extra things up there as well
12:28:43 I see
12:29:16 So back to what we were doing, just check one at a time and restart?
12:29:23 yup
12:29:34 gotcha
12:30:01 anything else I can help you with?
12:30:25 nope, I can work with this. Thanks for the help
12:30:31 np have a good one
12:30:37 you too
So I will say that the tech really helped me out he got me back up and running and I then realized I should have tried booting into safemode to basically do the same thing when it first crashed (again I have already given myself enough crap for not doing things differently). So moving on, I figured out that Killer DoubleShot Pro was crashing my machine and I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Learning my lessons, I created restore points and ran a full back up. Not going to do that again! Now back to the graphic issue. I finally got tired after a few days of jagged/pixelated font. So after reinstalling the drivers, GeForce Experience and NVidia control panel I reached out to Mythlogic tech support and here's what I got
My email with the tech
Me- Good morning Mythlogic, Ever since I got my laptop, I’ve had an issue with the graphics on start up. Every other first start up/ restart I get jagged screen font. Restarting the machine fixes the problem but it will happen again on the next start up. I had attached pictures of the font jagged and not jagged. Please advise on a fix for the issue. Thanks for your time. NOTE I attached pics with jagged font and without
Them- Hi Jared, Is this happening from cold boot or from hibernation/sleep? Does it happen every time from cold boot or just sometimes? What version of the nVidia driver do you have running? Did this recently happen, are there any new software changes to note?
Me- Hey tech, It’s been happening ever since I got the computer. It happens any time the computer is started up or rebooted. Cold start or even after using it all day. The NVidia driver is 354.09 There’s been a few software installs but it’s been happen since I got it. Thanks for your time NOTE I attached pics of Programs and Features list so the tech could see what software and drivers were installed, Intel's System Info from Extreme Tuning Utility which shows major details of what's installed, even bios version, a screen shot of GeForce Experience and what drivers it showed and lastly a screen shot of what device manager showed for the drivers. That's more info for the tech to better understand the problem and what most end-users provide to help solve the problem. Here's what I got back.........
Them- Have we asked you for the screenshot of the BIOS and EC version yet(!!!) I added the !!'s
I'm not sure why they seemed so upset.....I'm fixing THEIR problem, that I've had since DAY ONE. So my naïve self responded like this.... Me-No, one has ask for that. In the System Info picture it list the BIOS version at 1.05.06MYT. I'm not sure what the EC stand for but I'll send you a pic if you tell me where to look for the EC
I never heard back from them again. Since then, I have fixed my graphic issue and Loving life again. After all that crap, NVidia put out a new graphic driver that fixed the problem! Should have never been a problem in the first place. One last tidbit before my computer crashed and was reset. I could not delete anything with the UAC "shield(blue and yellow) on it, off of the desktop. It said I was not the Admin!! I couldn't figure out the cause but that's the way it was when I first got it.
That's my Mythlogic experience and you make your own judgements and let the dice lay where they fall. Above all please be respectful, someone could have been having a bad day building my rig. I've had my own a time or two.
Thanks to all who read it all!

Thank you for your review, I read it all and will never buy anything from Mythlogic. When I called them to place an order for a Mythlogic Phobos (P870DM-G), the person who answered did not have an upbeat tone and didn't treat me like a valued/potential customer so my first impression was, I don't wanna deal with such a company! If my initial experience wanting to place an order was like this, God knows what my experience would be should I ever need help for support or warranty claims! The sales rep back then also told me that if I place my order today (it was around mid December 2015), they need 17 working days to ship it out! I'm like forget that! I'll have my system shipped out in 3 days from someone else. Bye!

You get my point and have felt it too. It seems like a lot of the builders are a roll of the dice now. Dang dude , you would have been making it rain on Mythlogic's head, haha. their loss. Good job on doing your research and feeling people out. Looks like it saved you from tearing your hair out.

Here are the latest drivers from Clevo for your system, their servers are very slow though so be patient, most likely the Europe/American servers will fail the download but the Asian servers should be fine. Do not use a download manager and do not download more than one file at a time or their server will disconnect your downloads:
http://www.clevo.com/en/e-services/download/ftpOut.asp?Lmodel=P7xxDM/P7xxDM-G<ype=9&submit=+GO+
I even spoke to a guy named Josh from Mythlogic Support and he has the most arrogant attitude I have ever dealt with.
PS: The drivers can also be downloaded from Sager and is very fast but they are slightly outdated so I would stick to the Clevo site:

that's why I went with the Intel AC8260 WLAN card for this Sky X9 and my previous P870DM-G, not one disconnection ever.ZeroKelvin likes this. -
I have the same machine through Mythlogic (see my sig) and personally had a good experience with them overall; but I tend to think their priority is hardware. I did mention from my review ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/mythlogic-feedback-ordered-9-2015.785004/) that the software/driver side could be improved on their site; for any software or driver issues, I tend to look elsewhere first (especially NBR). But if it's any consolation, as far as the hardware, I continue to have confidence that they put their units together well and test all their units very thoroughly, so for hardware reliability I think they are right up there as far as custom Clevo based laptops.

WoW! Where to start! I am going to attempt to keep this is straightforward as possible, without directly commenting on anything specific in this thread. However I do feel the need to start off by giving a history of what I have had so that this hits home more.
I have always been more of a PC gamer than console... but have always built my own desktop. Over the years I have been through AMD and Intel... Voodoo GFX cards, Radeon, Nvidia... you name it! Overclocking has never been a huge thing for me in the past, although I have always given my graphics cards a stock OC bump from time to time. Over the years I have dabbled a bit in laptops with a couple Dell XPS models, and a couple macbook pro's. However 3 years or so ago I decided I wanted my gaming experience and main PC to be in the form of a laptop. I wanted all the power at my fingertips and to be able to bring it anywhere I go. No more going back and forth from desktop to laptop just everything in one.
I have ALWAYS wanted an Alienware... but never could afford when I was younger. Spending 3-4k on a laptop was simply out of the question. Alienware was a name to me like Apple is to some people. I was ready to finally have my dream machine and show it off to everyone.. crank up my settings and enjoy. Have everyone WOW my beast of a gaming machine at lan parties etc etc. Man was I mistaken about Alienware.. because I could have never prepared for what Dell turned Alienware into.
Here is my general timeline and history with Alienware. Let me just say up front that I have spend about 100 hours worth of phone time with about 25 different dell reps...5 managers and 2 BIG bosses above even them. Also have dealt with 4 different techs that have come to my home to do work on the various models I have had.
1st Alienware purchased (to simplify running through all the specs I will just name the GPU's.) which was the top of the line 17 inch model available with the GTX 780m.
Laptop arrived and I used it for 2 days... my keyboard went bad. Called Dell and had to have a tech come out and replace it. WOW really?? My first impression of an Alienware laptop and I already had to get something replaced.
Mind you every time I had a tech come out I had to put a few hours aside of my own time to be here either missing work or waiting for a day I was off to schedule. It was far from easy.
So I get the new keyboard and I'm back in business... OK here we go.. wait...no the NEXT day the stupid thing stops working again. So I have to contact Dell yet again. Looks like I have to get my laptop replaced entirely. Ohh but they no longer offered that model! The newer one was out without the 3d screen I wanted and only offered 16gb of ram not the 32gb I had before. To compensate me they gave me more SSD storage to work with and a 100 dollar gift card but that was about all they could offer me. The newer model was cheaper still by about 200 dollars.
This was now the model with the GTX 880m gpu. Great a new GPU! Faster, better, stronger... WRONG. The machine with the 880m was the worst laptop I ever owned. THROTTLE city and heat issues like you can't imagine. Granted those cards sucked for most people but were not a complete waste of space like in the Alienware. I had the GPU replaced 3 times.. had them repaste it with the good stuff and STILL just barely did anything before my problems returned.
After battling for 8 months back and forth with Dell and almost taking legal action because of the amount of problems they caused me and time off from work.. scheduling conflicts and all the time I did NOT have a good solid working machine... they finally agreed to replace the entire machine yet again. Lemon law? I have no clue but I spent the majority of my life during that time arguing with Dell.
So this brings me to my latest and last laptop from Alienware.. Dellianware..whatever. They agreed to send me the next model with the GTX 980m. Great! Finally something I have heard so many good things about and feel like we might have a winner. Great gpu performance right? Yea actually! Then why are my frames dropping in multiple games after 3 months of owning it??? Wait.. my CPU is running SO HOT.. its throttling down to 800mhz and still throttling before it even gets hot! WHY!?
So we are back on the phone with Dell.. and had another tech come back to replace the heatsink and fans because they refused to replace the motherboard (oh too expensive stupid BGA boards to replace). Guess what? That did nothing.. and they were back again 2 weeks later replacing the motherboard and repasting again with the paste I provided to make sure it was good stuff.
It ran SO SO for a few more months and then again.. well by now you can see where this is going. One more replacement and I said forget it. No more Alienware no more Dell.
This finally brings me to my Mythlogic purchase. I was going to order from GenTech and then Eurocom and then I found the gem that is Mythlogic. After doing alot of reading on the Clevo's and what they were capable of after I read through these forums over and over...I pulled the trigger. 4500 dollars later and here I am. Obviously after all my issues with Dell I wanted to be 110% sure I made the right choice. I needed outstanding quality work and even more outstanding customer service.
The first issue I thought I was going to have was getting it delivered in time for vacation (which was canceled anyways when the huge blizzard dumped 2 feet of snow on jersey). After I placed my order I waited about 3 weeks and was a bit concerned I would not get it in time. I did not know if they would make their quoted time for delivery...and I even told them I am willing to pay extra for faster shipping as long as they could get it to me in time.
Not only did I NOT have to upgrade my shipping, they had my laptop to me a day early and in plenty of time to..well..cancel my vacation in the end. Nonetheless they kept their commitment and pulled through. This is something I know I would not easily get from anyone else.
After some gaming and OCing and being very impressed with performance...temps etc.. I noticed I was actually getting some current limit throttling while playing World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy 14. This immediately scared the hell out me because it brought back all those issues I remembered having with Dell. I knew this was not happening on the vanilla Prema Bios and since they were a partner it shouldn't be an issue on theirs. I was working with some forum members to test their Eurocom versions with mine to compare notes and see what I was experiencing.
I contacted Mythlogic and was put in touch with a rep by the name Josh. Let me just say that this was around 2 weeks ago. Josh has been working with me updating..tweaking.. flashing and testing versions of the bios Prema has been working on with them... updating the Intel Management Software... benchmarking over and over monitoring clock speeds and temps... and keeping in touch pretty much every single day to check in with how my testing has been. He was on the phone with me from 10:30pm when I returned from work until 2am the first time. He has been working with me all this time to ASSURE me everything will be worked out. No matter what was/is causing the issue he has not given up on making sure it gets resolved and I am completely satisfied.
Also.. this is only an issue when taxing the GPU and CPU a certain way in these MMO's...otherwise the problem does not occur. We have pretty much ironed out that it is/was Bios/Management software related and It has already improved since we updated the Intel Management. This coming Monday I will be trying an updated Bios that should iron the rest out. The constant support from Mythlogic has been outstanding and like nothing I have ever had with any company/product before.
These are beasts of machines and we are dealing with desktop grade parts... stuff we could never dream of not that long ago. With Mythlogic working in collaboration with Prema (who has also been nothing but amazing and hard working all this time) I could not have asked for better support. Mythlogic even does yearly checkups where you send in your machine and they will repaste and re-stress test everything to make sure it is still running top notch. I know I will be upgrading to pascal and having them do this all the same time.
The quality and time spent from Mythlogic is A++ and I thank every person that recommended them. I do not regret my purchase even with the few issues I have had... because their continued support has been absolutely stellar. Josh has been fantastic and very patient with me.... I have a peace of mind knowing things will go smoothly.jb1kenobi, TomJGX and ZeroKelvin like this. -

I had an Alienware 18 replaced 3 times, once because of screen bleeding, then some motherboard issues, each time they gave me a newer system but the problems never ended. I formatted that machine more than any computer I have owned until I gave up and sold it!
