Indeed, very very low but it does happen occasionally. Most of the ones I have had die were ES for internal testing, not for reselling of course.
You would be better off ordering it from Europe, the shipping will be a lot cheaper! You can order direct from the Clevo service centers in either Germany or the UK http://www.clevo.com.tw/clevo_contact.asp?lang=en if you don't have a Clevo SI or reseller to order one from![]()
Lots of system builders speed bin CPUs themselves, for example we do it in several systems. But delidding would put any direct Intel customer's relationship at risk - regardless of the warranty effect, the relationship would be damaged :-(

Skylake appears to gain fps even at 3600-4000+ mhz ram. Will you oc the ram a bit?

from my personal experience with RAM overclocking, while the overclock might pass stress benches and other benchmarks, it is not necessarily 100% stable in other things. Like for example, I can overclock my current Samsung RAM to 2400 MHz and even 2666 MHz and it passes the AIDA64 Stress Test and benchmarks, but if I play Need For Speed, after a few mins the games dips to 5 FPS and gets stuck at that until I reboot.
So if I cam able to rurn this RAM at 2800 MHz stable, I would be more than happy. -

My 2800 MHz G.Skill RAM finally arrived at HIDevolution as that was the last pending component from the upgrades. Now it is being tested and if all goes well, the whole upgrade package would be shipped out todayPapusan, TomJGX, hmscott and 1 other person like this. -

@Mr. Fox
When I receive my new G.Skills 2800 MHz RAM, what shall I do to make it run @ 2800 MHz? Set the XMP profile to custom then profile number 7???Last edited: Mar 11, 2016 -
3000/16 should be possible ( higher mhz/lower timings ) vs 2800/18 and you should still see some gains from it

The package was shipped last night just before HIDevolution closes for the weekend, just like how they shipped my laptop last minute to avoid the weekend delay! They shipped it using next day air international FedEx for a very low price.
I should receive it by Sunday Evening (Dubai Time) since Sunday is a working day here. -
I got mine today! Loving this baby! btw. @Phoenix the icc profile you posted seems to be too warm. Might be that our panels are too different though.

The ICC profile is a bit warm at first, but if you get used to it, that's how the screen should look for 100% color accuracy.
Do you have the exact same screen model like me? check in AIDA64 under the monitor tabbloodhawk likes this. -
The display isn't even close to my EIZO 100% AdobeRGB monitor i use for work. But its pretty decent. The warmness is easily apparent when they are next to each other. But no worries, i used my Spyder4 Pro, and all is Gucci.
Packaging was great, i expected it to be bigger (the box i mean) lol. Ill post a thread on Monday or Tuesday. Gotta go pack stuff right now. But one i did do, was dump the BIOS and see if i can unlock it myself, turns out.. i actually can. Just fiddled with a few settings for now.
TED did email me asa the system got delivered that i can send my system in for the BIOS flash once i get back. I cant praise HIDEvolution enough for how much they accommodated my requests and the timeline i needed the system in. IMHO, I would only go for 4K on a 32"+ screen size and a minimum of 980 Ti SLI. Laptops are out of the question. Just a marketing gimmick this 4K craze is.EasyJoe likes this. -
Most people should just opt for 1080p. I haven't had any issues with anything thus far, whether it's scaling or performance(except in some games I gotta run medium settings instead of ultra to keep 60fps).EasyJoe, i_pk_pjers_i and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -
- High frequency increases the maximum throughput (B/s) and it greatly helps "sequential" access patterns, for example: encoding/decoding video, loading textures on games.
- Latency is the time the CPU has to wait for the data to arrive from the RAM chips, low latency is very useful when the access pattern is random and the data set does not fit into the CPU's cache, for example: loading web pages, fast moving game environments (the NPCs logic, dynamic and static objects)
Since current games does not have too much random access (maybe FPS can be more demanding, but I'm not sure), in my opinion is better to have higher frequency, just keep in mind that you won't be at the top of ALL the benchmarks -
If you input the numbers, 1920x1080 and 17 inches, it gives you about 70 cm (29 inch), so at that distance, your eyes won't be capable of distinguishing a pixel from another. And even if the distance appears to be a bit far, if you're are using your laptop on a desk with an external keyboard and/or mouse you're probably even further away !
And all that is assuming you have perfect vision LOLSpartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

Now you have enough for your next PC too. Better with too much than too little. But 2 packages of cleaning kit is overkill
