A few weeks ago my EON 17-s completely refused to power on and had to be sent in to them for service.

I was completely stunned when I unboxed my EON last night... Expecting to find my system (repaired), I was greeted with what appeared to be a brand new one still in plastic film.

The new unit - so far - appears to work pefectly and they overclocked the crap out of it! I couldn't be happier.

Origin is providing the level of service I had always expected from the folks at Alienware but never seemed to be able to get. Based on this (knock on wood) they're going to get my business for life :D

For the price they're charging, that kind of service should be expected.

I'm scratching my head why he went whole hog on system and only got a 485M?
Like buying a ferrari and replacing the engine with a leafblower motor.

Before I bought from Origin I compared the prices of Mythlogic, Malibal, Xotic, Sager and Maingear and few others for my specific configuration and there was little or no difference among all of them.

Though they all had differences in configuration options, but only Origin offered a custom airbrush, so they got my business.

And GOD, i troubled my sales rep Danny with all kind of requests, extras and changes (even after shipping) and still do it today.
That guy earned my respect the hard way! :D

Went with the 485m because up until recently Origin was nVidia only and the 580m hadn't been released yet. Since mine is over locked graphics performance isn't an issue.

I am just dealing with a return of an overheating gtx580m and discussing a possible CPU change with them...may write a more detailed "Origin Experience" review here once everything is done.

Just wanted to let you know that i got a new 580m and heatsink in advance (because i wasn`t stateside i could return the old one a full 2 months after ).

Also my System was advertised as overclockable when i placed my order.
But later it turned out that unlike the regular P170HM the one with 3D screen lacks bios support to OC the CPU.
So they agreed to my request and also send me along with the 580m a 2960XM as a free upgrade to my 2920XM (also returned full 2 months later)

After all I am very happy with the service provided by OriginPC.
