I have a M2 in my setup but there are no pads on it. Should I put them in ?
I just opened the cover and checked the GPU, it looks pretty snug and seems to make good contact. I don't really want to toy around repasting while under warranty.
What is your take on the GPU temps ?

The screen looks good and sharp, the colors are vivid and faithful. Yet It does not have as good a contrast and rich colors as my Envy 14 Radiance (which is a high quality TN), but it's really not a biggie.
One thing people should remember is to disable font scaling for some programs, or they will look blur.
I did a little gaming and thought my games were lagging but then realized it's because of the slower response time of +20 ms. It feels like a permanent motion blur. I am used to my desktop's 1 ms, I guess I am spoiled lol. But I think I can get used to that.
I hope in the future Xotic or Sager will offer a lower response IPS or quality TN. It would be a great addition to your selection of screens, especially for gamers that are used to faster refreshing.
Are there any options for me to upgrade the screen through Xotic? (I do not want 3/4K) . If not I will wait for the warranty to pass and maybe upgrade if there are good alternatives. -

I think your GPU temps are just fine, especially for FurMark which is a burn in program, and if you're hitting 87C that is really good. At very least, they are good enough to not worry about doing a repaste.
Which m.2 do you have installed, if the temps dont look bad you can save the thermal pad for the future.
If you do want to send in the computer later for upgrades we can set that up when its time. As of right now there are no other screen options we have besides what is listed. But if there are some added down the road you'd like, we'll for sure help you upgrade it. -
As for the M2 I have the Crucial M550 128gb. -

I'd save the thermal pad. I don't believe the M550 run too hot. You can run HWinfo64 and I'm pretty sure it reports those temps for you.
I think most use Nvidia inspector to undervolt. -
The M2 Crucial hits 49C idle and 56C with a write test.
Inspector and PrecisionX do not let me undervolt. I suspect it needs another vBIOS, which I am not willing to do under while under warranty :/
They do not let me control fan speeds either (while it does on my desktop 970).
I will try dropping some Mhz and see if it helps.Last edited: Feb 5, 2015 -
Did some gaming with Payday 2 and Killing Floor, the GPU hardly ever gets past 58C and CPU hovers around 65-70C. All graphic options enabled.

Did you do a dance? That's my usual reaction to being able to max a game out
