This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Reflex Notebook experience

    I'm going to be travelling overseas for an extended period for work and wanted a personal notebook that would fill in for my desktop. I kicked around some options before I settled on a Sager. Noticed Reflex Notebook was in Canada and did some comparison with other resellers and noted that they quoted a price that would be equal or better to anything from any American reseller. Not wanting to deal with currency conversions and international shipping, I went ahead pulled the trigger.

    On May 8th 2016 I ordered the Sager NP8677-S. As I will be leaving the country on June 17th, I reached out to Reflex and got in touch with JS who assured me that I would get my laptop before I left, and that I didn't need to worry about expedited shipping. A couple weeks later he alerted me that the 250 GB SSD drive that I had included in my build was now on back order, but I could substitue with the slightly higher priced 256GB equivalent for no additional charge if I wold prefer.. Needless to say, I took him up on the switch.

    I spoke to JS on two other occassions and on June 6th he advised I'd definitely have it no later than June 13th as it was being shipped within the next 24 hours. (Was sort of surprised that he recognized me by voice alone when I called).

    Was pleased to receive the package yesterday. On time as promised with a few days to spare before my flight.
