    Good day all,

After stalking this amazing forum for few weeks and gathering as much as information as I can, I think I am ready to buy my very own beast, the P870DM-G.

My situation is a little bit special, I'm working for a cruise liner, so I am spending most of my time on the go, and about 8 months a year outside the USA. Actually I will be leaving the USA at the end of the month and will not come back until June.

Therefore the 2 most important things for me when I was looking for a reseller were:
    1. The ability to send the laptop until March 25th.
    2. To be sure as much as I can there will be no malfunctions/QA issues because if there will be I will be stuck with 3.5k paperweight for few months.

At start I really wanted to go with Mythlogic, they are looking very professorial, I liked their options and the pricing was right. I liked the fact that they are builders and they can ensure that my laptop will be 100% good upon delivery. But when I was talking with support (one smart nerd Via chat) they didn't feel to me very nice, the answers were very short and there was no feeling of trying to make me feel like a valued costumer. When I was trying to explain my limitations (delivery until the 25th) due to their 17-20 days system turnaround, they told me that I should have order earlier if I wanted the system until the 25th. It felt to me like I was begging them to check if they can make it faster (not like I wanted it in 5 days or something), telling them I will pay for overnight shipping, but the only response I got was sent your specs to sales and they will tell you if we can do it. Well I've sent them the specs on the 3rd afternoon but didn't get any answer form them yet. It felt like they don't really want my money, so it seems that I will not be able to buy from them, although they were my top choice.

I've heard good things about EuroCom, but they are too expensive about $600
    more for the same specs.

Didn't hear anything good/bad about the building quality of OriginPC but they are expensive at least like EuroCom. Although I really thought about them because they are based in Miami and this is the base of the operation for my ship and cruise line company.

Joesph at XoticPc was very helpful over the chat and their prices are good, but they are in the end only middleman between me and Sager, and even if their service is good if Sager will screw up, I will have no ability to use it. Also I see a lot of complains from the recent time, especially about delivery time, and I'm little bit worried about it.

I've send email to HidEvolution, didn't get any reply.

Send also Email to Pro-Star, got a reply even though it was Friday evening, and spoke with Chris for a while, who promised me that he will take care personally on the system and will make sure it will be delivered on time. I understood that they are Clevo builders which allow them to check personally my system. The prices are good as well, and I really like their support so far. However my main concern is that I almost don't see any reports about them, even their Facebook page is tiny with 800 likes. I know that they are around for long time already, so I'm really conflicted about them.

I will have to make my decision until today/tomorrow evening. So far it seems that I will order a Sager via XoticPc or Pro-Star, unless Mythlogic will surprise and will decide to be nice and to tell me that they willing to build and deliver the system in until the 25th.

I will keep to update this threads with all my decisions and experiences with the chosen vendor, hopefully until the good ending.

TL : DR - This is an ongoing review. Want to buy Clevo P870DM-G, will order Sager/XoticPC or Pro-Star, unless Mythlogic will be willing to deliver the system until the 25th. Afraid about Q/A issues as I will leave the country soon.

Ps - sorry for any spelling/grammar mistakes, English is not my first language.

Thank you all for any input/comments.

Avoid Mythlogic man! They suck! See my review about them and others:

    Origin PC:

Ordered an Origin PC Millennium Desktop for $9,000 USD in June. Took them a month to build/ship it, half of the customer notes I mentioned in my order in the way to install the OS were ignored. The so called overclocking service I paid for was just a small 200 mhz overclock of a 5930K CPU, the only thing they changed is set a voltage offset of -0.185. Really? $50 USD for this?

Secondly, I had to constantly email and call to get any updates about my PC, not once did they send me an update. I know I am not their only customer but when you pay $9000 USD for a system you expect a bit of attention/care.

When I sold the machine 3 months later as I didn't like the idea of having a bulky desktop, I called them to transfer the warranty to the new owner and they said no can do. Warranties cannot be transferred.

Never again will I buy anything from that company.

    XOTIC PC:

Before reading all the negative reviews here, they were actually my first choice and I did place an order and their payment system did accept the fact that I paid using PayPal even though I am an international customer. I didn't know that wasn't allowed, so 2 days later I call them to see what's up with my order and Mr. Pat was very helpful but unfortunately, their policy is that for international customers, they only accept wire transfers! Screw that! I'll never do that! I would only pay by credit card or Pay Pal, not write transferring anything to anyone. He then spoke to their management about this but they couldn't do anything so they lost my business of $6000 USD for that order.

    Mythlogic:

    1) I had a friend who had ordered a P870DM-G from Mythlogic (Mythlogic Phobos 8715S), he then made a mistake by flashing the latest stock Clevo BIOS thinking it was better only to discover that now his BIOS has 0 customization options or overclocking options. So he thought no big deal, he contacted their technical support thinking they would send him the Mythlogic BIOS. The head of tech support named Josh started asking him lots of questions regarding his order number, serial number, name of the person who paid for it, etc. It was like an interrogation. He then explained that it was a gift so he doesn't have the order number but he gave them the serial number and even a screenshot of it from the actual laptop.

After 3 days with no response, he calls Josh who was very rude and seemed annoyed as to why he was calling him. Then Josh said that they need time to send him the BIOS.

1 week later, nothing, so he emails again.... no reply for 1 weeks, then he emails and calls, he was given the same BS about they need time to compile the BIOS in a package that he could install......

2 weeks later, nothing, then he finally gave up and is still running the stock CLEVO BIOS 1.05.02

I know the guy personally he lives here in Dubai as well.

    2) Before purchasing my Eurocom Sky X9, I thought of getting a Mythlogic again, I called their sales team and some dude answered who didn't have an upbeat tone or showed any interest to my business as a potential customer, I felt like I was talking to a robot.

I then asked how long would it take from the time of order till you actually ship the system, he replies, 15 business days. I'm like whaaaat? why so long? he says we are swamped with orders.

Apparently they have so much arrogance now that they have so many orders/business coming through. I for one will never want to deal with this company EVER,

Then I ordered my Eurocom Sky X9 but not through Eurocom directly, but through HIDevolution as they are good partners with them, so they gave me a discount as I am an NBR member and actually even got the system for me cheaper than if I would have bought it from Eurocom directly.

This way, I got the Eurocom Sky X9 with the PREMA BIOS pre-installed AND covered under warranty, along with the superb warranty/support of HIDevolution and fast shipping / excellent quality checks, the best of both worlds really. See:

    Outstanding support from Eurocom!

Try calling HIDEvolution up, i heard Ted was really really busy yesterday. But someone else was able to answer my questions.
Mention that you are from NBR and that @Phoenix was blackmailing you into ordering from them. :p

It's the weekend, I doubt he will get any response before Monday. With that said, I recommend them because of my very positive experience with them three times in a row. One must make his own research and decide who's best for meeting his needs in terms of warranty, speed of service, quality control, pricing, etc.

Thank you very much Phoenix and Bloodhawk for the reply!

    First update:

Mythlogic answered my Email and after long chain of emails they promised me they will do their best and guaranteed that if they will fail to supply me the system in my deadline, I will be refunded.

I will go with my first hunch and will order from them, they sure need to improve a little their consumer service, but I saw that all review said that from hardware side, they are very good, and this is the most important thing for me.

This thread will become an ongoing review on the Mythlogic experience, I will keep updating every step on the road, so people will know if I made the right choice or should have listen to Phoenix and Bloodhawk.

    Stay tuned!

you will regret it, you've been warned. A user here named firebat received his system with a buggy wifi card that keeps disconnecting, then he had other issues so he had to send the system back and wait for more than 15 days to get it back.

    good luck though

Thank you Phoenix, I hope that Mythlogic will prove that it not their standard.

I guess I'm trying to give them a chance, due to a lot of previous good reviews that I've seen. I hope they will prove with me that are still good, and if not, future buyers will know the truth.

sure, I wish you the best of luck and sorry if I came a bit pessimistic about them, but I didn't feel like a valued customer when I was about to buy a 6000 USD system from them.

I hope your experience turns out good

make sure to include in your order notes:

"Before shipping out the system, ensure there is no IPS light bleeding or dead pixels" as you wouldn't want to receive the machine only to discover it has light bleeding when looking at a screen with a black background, I include this note in every system I buy

I appreciate you calling and checking us out. We did have a rough couple months while doing some internal changes last year, and orders are generally going out much smoother now. And thanks for the kind words, Phoenix. But if I can do anything for you, Daniel G, feel free to reach out to me!

Damn you are lucky, I contacted them multiple times , asking if it is possible to meet my 15 days deadline, since i am leaving the city soon for an internship, and they weren't ready to commit. My config was more or less bare bones, with just the 6700k, Desktop GTX980 and 32 Gb RAM.
Otherwise they were also my first choice.
I was in talks with AVADirect as well, who were somewhat willing to RUSH my build, but the person i was in contact with wasn't very "enthusiastic", so to speak. I was about to pull the trigger here, but i ended up giving HIDEvolution a call, and things worked out well. (For now lol)

Though tbh, the most helpful ones around were @pat@XOTICPC (Wish Sager had replied back sooner :( ) and Ted @ HIDEvolution. It felt like they actually cared about doing business with me and helping out the customer.

But keep us updated! Ill post a review once i get my P870DM-G later this week.

Mythlogic takes ages to build/ship your system and their customer service is horrible (in my experience at least)

The best is HIDevolution, they will build your system the fastest and you now get the Prema BIOS/VBIOS for free.

Additionally, they have options not available with any other reseller such as Silicon Lottery CPUs with guaranteed overclocks and supported under warranty. They can even delid your CPU and still have it covered under warranty. their RAM options are also the best they have RAM speeds up to 2800 MHz (look at my sig, my Eurocom Sky X9 was bought from HIDevolution).

I highly suggest you get the Silicon Lottery / delidded CPU because getting a good 6700K CPU is a matter of luck, 50% of them overheat a lot and thus even at stock speeds will throttle and overheat like no tomorrow so getting the Silicon Lottery CPU means you don't have that headache or risk.

    see:

    EVOC P870DM-G Gaming Laptop

If you email them telling them you are an NBR member you will get a discount as well.
