Bought my x7200 from BD4U towards the end of 2010, the sales support was good, unfortunately when I placed my order, unknown to me they had decided to move premises, so the laptop shipment got delayed..

eventually it arrived, then given a few weeks of use the screen started to turn green!! if the screen was in the upright position (so vertical) and it was bumped the entire screen went Green or strange colours...

no worries, swap the screen whatever, so I got back in contact to BD4U....no reply....hassled them again "send it back" so off the laptop went a few days later I call up "cannot find issue" , tell them to keep it for another week till they find the issue, they say they have reseated the vga cable etc so that must have fixed it... so they send it back to me.

the FIRST night I turn it on and the screen does the same thing, then when I normally tap the screen and it goes back to normal, it actually turns red! awesome. anyway I move the screen back and forward a few times and it eventually clears (move the screen 10 degrees past vertical and it seems to clear).

I get back in contact with them...unless I'm willing to part with it for a few weeks there is nothing they do...and they won't do anything about the screen until THEY can reproduce the issue ;|

fast forward a 8 months, one of the fans starts to rattle, I identify which fan it is and ask for a replacement to be sent... (since it's still under the OEM warrant AND the 3 year extended warranty I purchased) no can do, so I ask to pre-pay for the fan as long as they give me a refund when they recieve the faulty one back ....no can do, instead they need the laptop back, test it, then send it back.

having dealt with the screen issue I pass on this, instead I ask how much...$80 FOR A FAN! so I get in contact with a few places and find that BD4U have a reputation for this, eventually a store can get the fan and ship it to me for $20. I replace the fan and all is good again. this laptop is used as my business tool at work, pretty much running from 6am till 10pm everyday, this crap will not stand, especially when I can get a 5 year onsite warranty from HP where they will send out a tech to replace the part in my laptop, with it still on my desk.

guys...I would NEVER deal with BD4U again.

BD4U's website looks like something from 1991... sounds like a overall disappointing and bad experience.. btw I hope you've got it somewhat worked out OP, sorry for your trouble, sounds terrible

    - I would suggest to use Logical Blue One if your into buying a powerful laptop in Australia, thanks for sharing, I'm sure several people can find this useful!
http://www.logicalblueone.com.au/store/index.php they are quite pricey, but I guess that's how it works down there in Australia

Thanks, I actually bought the fan off Logical one after BD4U wanted to screw me, in future I would not buy from someone out of state, that way I can just drive the laptop over to them and show them the problem.

i bought my p150hm from LBO, they were amazingly helpful. they wern't even that pricey after giving me a couple of voucher codes and upgrades it ended up cheaper than affordablelaptops and about the same as Malibal including shipping.

i'm from NZ and they gladly sent my laptop to my family members and i picked it up a week later when i went on holiday.

i also got a free 'treat' hahah. a little chocolate which unfortunately melted in the hot sydney summer :(
