Good day to you all laptop geeks,

After a solid week of intensive research (my old laptop was stolen, and I need one for work, so I was in a hurry), I opted for obsidian. Mainly because the reviews there sold me.
I haven't received it yet, I'll update when I do, but I want to confirm what people say about customer service : it's great.
You just click on that little bubble thing and within 2 minutes you're talking to someone who is actually listening to what you have to say.
I don't know if I talked to @John@OBSIDIAN-PC, but whoever it was was friendly and helpful.

    Hats off to you !

See you in a few days (hopefully), when I receive the nh55 I ordered.

You have spoken with the Overlord know as John ( it was me)
Glad to be of service, I haven't been picking many chats because I spend most of my time coding but I guess somehow everyone else was more busy then me (really don't know how that's even possible).... I need to open an official inquiry!

    Time for an update !

So i received the laptop one week ago, very well packaged.
I had to contact support because Ubuntu was password locked, and i couldn't find the password anywhere. I saw afterward that it's on the box.

Delivery took longer than i had expected and hoped for, which was a bit annoying because i really needed a computer for work. But it's alright, i's rather wait a bit more and get a good product that i'll keep for years.
Didn't contact support much so i don't have much to say about it for now. I might ask for their help with a few issues if i can't fix them by myself soon enough.

About the laptop : It looks very good and works like a charm.
I asked for a dual boot with ubuntu and an unlicensed window install.
The only issue i ran into was plugging an external display with ubuntu.
It wouldn't be detected because the nvidia discrete card wasn't powered on, and every nvidia driver i tried froze everything. I destroyed the Xorg server trying to fix it, so I completely wiped Ubuntu - Turns out i don't like Gnome anyway.
Installed Manjaro (may i suggest Manjaro as an alternative to Ubuntu and ElementaryOS ? It really is a great Linux distribution), crashed Xorg again.
I got everything working by using nvidia-xrun, it was like a miracle solution.

I'm a bit disapointed by the bios, which i found quite limited. Maybe i missed something, i don't know...
Anyway, i'm happy with my purchase, and i'm waiting for the linux version of the monitoring software, which development i'm tracking on @john@OSBIDIAN-PC's website.
    Thanks for everything !

Those are the new INSYDE BIOS... at the moment we aren´t doing anything to those, it´s all too "recent"...
Still glad you seem to enjoy the unit.
    Thank you for your purchase!
