Thanks Galm! I'm sure I will. Been following VR for a while and I'm dying to try it. Just have to decide on Vive or Rift. Any experience with either?

Speaking of Extreme Donald, he mentioned that I should seek a wise man named @Phoenix . His expertise would be greatly appreciated.

 

sure, once you get your system, tag me if you want me to tweak it for you.

Here's what I'll do:

1- Uninstallation of all the Windows Store Garbage Apps
2- Removing all Windows 10 Privacy Invasion stuff like Telemetry, sending your keystrokes to Microsoft, automatically installing suggested apps in the background, allowing Microsoft to conduct experiments on your laptop, disabling automatic driver updates through Windows updates, disabling Windows 10 ads, disabling cortana, etc.
3- Removal of nVIDIA and Intel Telemetry
4- Adjusting a lot of options in PC Settings like disabling Windows Tablet Mode (you have a laptop not a tablet), disabling suggestions appearing in the start menu, disabling automatically connecting to Paid WiFi Hotspots, disabling Game DVR which reduced performance in games, and a lot more.
5- Replacing Cortana with a much better search tool that finds results instantly
6- Restoring the classic Windows 7 Calculator and Windows Photo Viewer
7- Restoring the Classic Windows 7 Start Menu

 

That sounds AMAZING!! It would save me days of headache and frustration, and I'd never have considered bringing back the missed parts of Win7. Thanks a lot for offering to help man. I'll tag you when it arrives.

Ah i thought it was more of an integrated tool.

 

Then extract the ZIP folder somewhere, I have a folder on D: called Software where I put all my portable apps and EXE installers.

Then drag a shortcut to the taskbar for Everything so it's always there

Everything v1.4.1.877 [The best search engine to find any file on your computer instantly, no indexing required]

I meant i was expecting it to be like Windows Search, where i can just hit the search button and my results are instantly there. Which i use a LOT, specially for launching my apps. Super fast.

 

Windows Search is the spawn of the devil.

However, you might enjoy Listary.
