    Hello everyone,

On April 3rd, 2017 I placed an order for a custom Phobos 8717 the order was confirmed and two days later the payment was drafted from my bank onj the 5th.

I was given an estimated turn around time of 15-17 business days before the laptop would be built/tested/benchmarked(etc.) and ready to ship.

I heard nothing from the company (and saw no progress on my order status page) until I contacted them via chat on the 7th and was told the progress would be updated in stages as my order was processed (which made sense, and I thanked the support folks and went upon my way). I checked in roughly a week later on the 13th, and was unable to get a hold of support via on-line chat or phone (at either local or 1-800 numbers).

I gave them roughly another week and a half (checked in on the 26th) and was given unfortunate (though not entirely unreasonable news / at the time). I was told due to the release of Kaby Lake, delays in distribution channels and several other unanticipated delays they had not yet started the build.

I checked in a little over a week later (on the 5th) and they had "just" moved (that day) my order to (3: Parts Allocation Complete). That would be out of 8 total steps, the 8th being shipped.

I attempted to contact them on the 16th via chat, and after two sessions was unable to get through to on-line support. I sent an email to the sales department and requested an update.

The 17th is here, I have not heard back from sales via email. I was unable to get through to Mythlogic via on-line, it connected and said a rep was online, but I got no response back. I attempted to call them via their 1-800 number and via their local number and no one is picking up.

I sent sales another email today and will see if they will respond.

Needless to say at this point I am beyond livid, this is inexcusable.

I appreciate the quick reply, but unfortunately I do not have the PM option (less than 5 posts here). If you have your sales team check their email, they should have one that came through at 11:27 CDT - 11:30 CDT timeframe with similar details in email.

    Regards,

Thread update (I've been busy..sigh lol). I heard back from Mythlogic on Thursday of last week at about 2:00 AM CDT. They stated they had my shell and would verify build status in the morning.

After that I heard back Friday afternoon. They stated the build was not started and I would be built out over the weekend of the 20th & 21st, then tested after that.

The order status was switched to "hardware build" after I got the email that afternoon. No further update or communcation since.

    UPDATE:

So it was supposedly built out the weekend of the 20th and 21st as the company stated. I heard back the Friday before Memorial Day that the system had been in testing since that weekend and that they would have an update after the weekend.

The system status is still on the hardware build phase with no mention of testing and I have not heard back yet on the testing progress.

This coming Saturday, June 3rd, will mark two full months since I orderd the system.

    UPDATE:

Did not hear anything back this week. Status of laptop on the website still lists it as being built out. As of today it has now been officially 2 months since I purchased the laptop.

    UPDATE:

Got an email last night with an update. My laptop should be good to go within a few days (pending no further problems with testing etc.)

I would also like to note that all my communication with the company (while I did have to reach out for it) has been pleasant and very professional. I understand delays, and look forward to seeing the finished product, despite my own stressors.

    UPDATE:

Per Mythlogic my laptop is ready to ship as of 6/14/2017! However due to personal circumstances beyond my control, I cannot take the delivery now. They promptly and politely responded and agreed to my request to hold shipping for several days. Will update when I receive and boot up the machine.

Glad to hear that yours is all set! They do make excellent builds.

Still waiting for mine to move out of build queue. The 11th marked two months since order date for me.

Looks like we should all be getting ours around the same time. Mythlogic got in touch with me saying they replaced my machine. I hope it lands soon, and that you enjoy it!

    FINAL UPDATE:

They shipped my notebook (turns out it was a Portable Battleship!) out on last Friday. I received it (well packaged) on Tuesday! This machine is an insanely well built BEAST. There is nothing I cannot throw at it ( besides the kitchen sink of course) that it cannot handle. In the end, the company could definitely use some work on communication frequency (all the communication I had was polite), and perhaps build speed. I will say though, for the high quality machine I got, I am definitely very pleased with the end result.
