Hi. I'm new here but I saw that reps from Clevo/Sager resellers post here so I thought I'd join and share my experience. Been lurking for a long time, though.

Just placed the order about an hour or so ago. I was looking around for the best possible deal, but with GentechPC having their "fall sale", where you get 30 day dead pixel warranty, liquid metal on both CPU and GPU, branding removal, AND A T-SHIRT!!! for 1 cent each, it was an obvious decision.

Went for a Samsung 960 EVO NVME and a 120Hz panel as well. Hope everything turns out fine. Feeling really nervous and in a hazy state because this was one of the most expensive purchases I've made in the past decade (excluding college tuition).

Once you got the notebook, mind telling us the temps under stresstests and exact specs like GPU and CPU?

The CPU was the 7700HQ and the GPU was the regular (non-max Q) GTX 1070 (only option on the P650HS).

I'm really looking forward to reading your review! Can you please post a photo of the pasting job? How was your experience with Customer Support?

I've been debating on ordering this model from Eluktronics or GentechPC. Eluktronics has the better price for the specs I want, but I won't be able to get Liquid Ultra...and I'm not sure if I'd be able to do it myself, since I've never done CPU/GPU pasting before. With some of the recent reviews on here, it makes me feel a bit iffy purchasing from GentechPC too. (Your specs are similar to what I want...7700HQ, GTX 1070, 8 GB RAM, cheapest m.2 ssd, Win 10 Home, IPS screen, cooling paste)

I don't know if I'm willing to open up the laptop once I get it, but I can post idle and load temps that you can compare to other builds if you want (I'll be doing so myself).

I also don't know if Eluktronics is much cheaper, even on their prebuilts on Amazon/Newegg. I went with the TN 120Hz screen because I don't really care for viewing angles and the reviews on the TN panel are excellent (as I said, the exact same one is supposedly used in Alienware laptops).

Also, I'd recommend buying a Windows 10 key on Ebay...it costs like $5 and it's legitimate. There's also a loophole to get Windows 10 for free without piracy/cracks but it can be a hassle, especially on Kabylake CPUs - so I'd just pay the fiver.

So far, not a peep but it is early (2 business days so far). I also read about the negative user experience which was eventually resolved but I also read some really positive experiences.

Yeah, I got the laptop last Friday, nearly a month after I placed the order. The excuse I was given was that liquid metal was taking some time to apply.

So, I don't know what temps I should be expecting, but my CPU temps are mid to high 50s on idle, touching 60°C. Is this normal with liquid metal? Seems kinda high. Ambient temperature is low 20s. And the fans are audibly loud.

I ran a stress test over a week ago and the temps got over 90°C so I had to stop then. I haven't really had time to try any games, though, so I haven't really tested the GPU.
