So I ended up with the system below. After I placed the order they gave me a call to confirm that I knew the screen was a pre-order and it would mean my system wouldn't ship out immediately. I appreciated that.

Just got an email that my laptop was shipped, eta Tuesday 1/31. It's still days away but I'm already refreshing the tracking page for some weird reason. I'm really excited to finally receive this new laptop.

Do let us know how you like your Sager! I'm thinking of ordering an NP6872 (same notebook but with 1050 Ti) in the next few days and I want to know what it's like. Battery life, screen clarity, fan noise, etc. I hope you like it not just for your sake but for mine too

It's now 6:50pm on day of delivery and I'm feeling pretty disappointed it hasn't shown up yet. I even took the day off work to make sure I was here to sign for it.

It's late and I gotta be up for work in the morning so I can't really try out anything fancy right now. I'll run it through some stuff in the next couple of days and report back. But so far the screen is giving me goosebumps, it's such nice quality. It's huge, and so sharp and the colors are really crisp and the black is actually black.umby likes this. -
Just to wrap this thread up. No complaints with regards to customer service with Sager. There wasn't as much communication as I expected, considering the amount of money - but given that everything went smooth that's not a knock or anything. In my excitement I was eager to receive updates about how the build was going, or even expecting them to up-sell me on stuff that made sense but the only update I received was that it shipped + tracking nr.
Two thumbs up, either way.
