I have a Samsung 960 Pro NVMe 512GB that I'm going to install myself. Along with a Samsung 850 500GB EVO SSD.

I'm new to EVOC so I'm hoping that everything is good.

From the posts of this forum, as far as I can tell the EvocP870 is a top contender! HidEvolutions support so far has been fantastic and they are proud of what they have built for each customer

lemme know when you get it if you want me to help you tweak Windows...

    Phoenix Tweaks:

1- Uninstallation of all the Windows Store Garbage Apps
2- Removing all Windows 10 Privacy Invasion stuff like Telemetry, sending your keystrokes to Microsoft, automatically installing suggested apps in the background, allowing Microsoft to conduct experiments on your laptop, disabling automatic driver updates through Windows updates, disabling Windows 10 ads, disabling cortana, etc.
3- Removal of nVIDIA and Intel Telemetry
4- Adjusting a lot of options in PC Settings like disabling Windows Tablet Mode (you have a laptop not a tablet), disabling suggestions appearing in the start menu, disabling automatically connecting to Paid WiFi Hotspots, disabling Game DVR which reduced performance in games, and a lot more.
5- Replacing Cortana with a much better search tool that finds results instantly
6- Restoring the classic Windows 7 Calculator and Windows Photo Viewer
7- Restoring the Classic Windows 7 Start Menu
8- Turning off smart multi-homed DNS name resolution in Windows which may lead to DNS Leakage when using a VPN (must have Windows 10 Pro for disabling it as it can only be disabled via the Group Policy Editor)

    Pre-Production.

    Then I got,

    Parts/Product On Order.

I did pay for Rush, so hopefully they can get it out ASAP. But Donald did tell me that the dead pixel may cause a delay since they check the panel before it leaves. And if there is a dead pixel they have to start over basically. Since this is a very expensive laptop I'd rather it be correct. Hopefully the first panel they get in there is correct and has no dead pixels.

    Back to,

    Pre-Production.

Hopefully that means they got the parts and ready to put it together.

It got delayed due to a single dead pixel (out of 3,686,400). I was hoping it would be a perfect panel but alas, it wasn't. But they're getting a new one, so hope that one will be correct.

The attention to detail for HIDEvolution across the board is fantastic! From what I can tell is that they are proud of the products they sell to us, and the overwhelming amount of responses and feedback says the same.

So an update. I did receive it 9/13/2017. Everything appears good with it. The 3K panel has some horizontal lines that become noticeable during certain scenes. But I guess that's the price of wanting 120Hz refresh rate.

And the CPU doesn't appear to thermal throttle though it does get up to 89C. I'm hoping that at some point I can add a second 1080 card to this beast of a laptop.
