This review is of my experience with Portuguese company called Obsidian-PC.

Thanks to NBR forums and @Papusan slagging off BGA mainly I started looking at LGA laptop rather than BGA as previously. I find it pretty cool that you can actually take cpu out and gpu and replace without having to replace the whole lot! Also the performance is better so win win really.

I wanted the laptop to be as light as possible so I have decided to go for the p775dm3-g rather than the bigger one - p870km1-g (also the cost played part in this).

The Specs I went for are as follows:

    - p775dm3-g Chassis with 1080 g-sync screen
    - i7 6700k delided with Grizzly Conductonaut liquid metal and high temperature seal
    - gtx 1080
    - 32GB (2x 16GB) 3000Mhz G.Skill Ripjaws
    - 256GB SAMSUNG SM961
    - Intel Wifi AC8265 & BT4.2
    - win 10pro (install only - free)

On the forums I have come across different re-sellers and as I am in Europe I started discussions with @John@OBSIDIAN-PC very loose as my situation at this point was very unclear with regards to my finances.
(please read my previous review here:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/p670hs-g-gtx-1070-from-scan-co-uk.803449/ )

John is someone who is passionate about the whole customer experience and offers bespoke service for their customers. There is a great choice on their website and they always have time to answer any questions even as silly as some of mine (remember at this point I am not committed and have not spend any money with Obsidian-PC yet).

John was very helpful and honest about everything. For example he could have suggested 7700k which costs more but instead recommended the 6700k as they are easier to keep in check temp wise.
I had some requests and he would meet me with all of them. I really wanted to order at this point but I had to wait for resolution of my other case. Basically I was kicking myself for not finding them sooner and going with Obsidian since the get go.

So I have had a conversation with John and every time I contacted Obsidian they were very knowledgeable and helpful. This has instilled confidence with me choosing them. I think everyone likes the personal experience touch. They are still small company and that is why it is possible for them to be like so.

John has developed a special app that helps with driver updates (everyone uses it not just their customers) they have unlocked bios and Obsidian branded version of TS. This is amazing. Also the logo is cool and in my opinion one of the best out there on a Clevo barebones.

I am not sure what other re-sellers in Europe offer but what I know is that Obsidian will delid the CPU put the LM and best thermal paste on the HS and in general do everything to improve the cooling on the laptops they sell.
They take a little longer to build and QC their machines but I prefer that to be the case rather receiving machine quicker and having to post it back if something is wrong. So I have been waiting to pull the trigger and once I got the green light at my end I placed the order.

Because they are very small as I said it takes little longer to get trough the whole process but it is worth it in the end. In my caser it took 4 days to build (working days as weekend does not count) and on the Thursday the 30th of March my unit has been shipped.

The courier company they use is not the best. Since Thursday nothing happened until following Monday. Why? Perhaps the weather was too nice for anyone to bother with work :p

None the less I have now received the unit and I am typing from it. I like it a lot. It is a little bit thicker than I would like and the power brick could be used as a weapon but I like it none the less. The design is nice and not flashy at all just the way I want it.

First impressions. I love it. It feels super quick and although I have not played any games yet I know I will be alright with anything I throw at it.

I am running the unit at 4,2Ghz on all cores daily. The highest temp in Aida stress test (all checked apart from drives) is showing:
    - 85C on CPU and 76C on GPU on full fans
    - 87C on CPU and 80C on GPU on OC fans
    - 93C on CPU and 84C on GPU on auto fans

All of the above with CPU undervolt of -150,4 mV on both: cores and cache.

Also another profile I have in TS is 4,5Ghz on all cores with -50,8mV undervolt used for CPU heavy tasks only if I do FPU only test in Aida I get following results:
    - 77C on CPU with max fans
    - 83C on CPU with OC fans
    - 85C on CPU with auto fans

ALL of the above without any throttle.

I personally am perfectly happy with those results. No game will stress the GPU and all four cores to the max in real life and I should be able to play on auto fans. Simple fn + 1 will be sufficient if I run in to any cooling issues whilst gaming. In day to day light use it is very quiet I wish the fans would stop completely if there is no need for them to spin (the custom profile offers this) Custom fan profile is either on or off so not great..

I wish we could make it so it would have different steps in fan speed at different temps but hey can`t have everything I guess.

Now for a laptop with desktop gpu and cpu this is really good going. This much power in a portable chassis. I am a happy chap and glad that I have come across this forum pages and that @John@OBSIDIAN-PC offers his services to us all. Thank you John.

Thank you to all who contributed to making my decision easier. Thanks for your hard work and constant strive to improving the Clevo family. Thank you for all the tips and tricks of the trade and always being there in case something goes wrong.

Thanks to @Phoenix, @Prema, @Mr. Fox, @Papusan, @John@OBSIDIAN-PC, @Meaker@Sager, @Donald@HIDevolution and many many others who took their time in testing and constantly improving the way these things work.

Hope this helps someone in their future decision :)

    Thanks

    Kamil
