Just the quick question: It has the Displayport + Displayport mini ports. Are they specification 1.2 , or are they the older 1.1 ?

Replying to my own thread here... Intel confirms that the igpu is made in accordance to displayport specification 1, revision 2. Since there is no botching of the wiring from the Intel graphics to the ports themselves, they should in fact be version 1.2. That also means they are capable of 4k@60hz. I will test that, but Intel say yes and Clevo/Sager reseller says the rules of output should be in accordance with those set by the IGP.

Thanks for the follow up on this. Lack of reply probably meant no one was 100% sure. But now we do know.

In essence that's correct and the DP ports are 1.2 compliant so you can run the maximum res of 4k@60Hz. Because this is an Optimus laptop, the port specifications must comply with the Intel iGPU specification whereas a non-optimus laptop must be compliant with the Nvidia/AMD specification.

Therefore, all Haswell Optimus laptops with a DP port would need to have a 1.2 port!

Update after getting my PB287Q monitor :
3840x2160@60hz runs without any issue. Like many have reported on this monitor you have to set displayport spesification to version 1.2 in the screen menu. After that I did not have any issue :)
