Hey guys!
@XMG
So I decided it was time for me to look into the clevo area.
I needed something portable so 17.3" was out of the question for me. Then again I also required performance so I settled with the P750DM model.

I also needed a 4K panel and the Sharp IGZO one is a pure beauty.
The folks over there, Neil and Andrew are superb guys, very helpful, patient and understanding.
I feel that buying a clevo in Europe is much more difficult than in the US due to resellers each having their own disadvantage, not having a certain product etc etc.
Having said this I ended up deciding that XMG is the go to place for clevo's in europe due to their knowledge and inventory. I will periodically update this thread as the experience moves on, hopefully i'll have my laptop during the end of next week.
22/7/16 : Payment Sent and accepted on their end.
22/7/16 : Accepted into production!
26/7/16 : Final Testing and Quality Control!
27/7/16 : Shipped!
31/7/16 : Laptop received!
So the little baby has arrived I couldn't have been more satisfied!
Packaging was practical and safe, they provided both a USB and DVD driver recovery media.
Everything was as asked
If you are in Europe and are looking to buy a Clevo, I would definitely urge you to consider XMG/Mysn, you won't be disappointed, from beginning to end

Updated : Same day got into production!
One more reason why these guys are awesome, letting them know i'll be off on a trip soon they have promised to keep a close eye on my order!

they sure are the best. you wont be disappointed. always very helpful and actually saved me hundreds as i top specked it out but they said i didnt need some of it and saved me almost £500 and theres not many companies that will do that.
my original clevo M860TU is next month 9 years old and still going strong and used every day.
after 2 years 1 week the 9800GT gpu died and it was replaced the same day with a 260GTX. everything else is original.
so as soon as mySN opened in the UK i had to upgrade my clevo and bought a P502 in sig below. almost 5 years old and never had a issue.marios50 likes this. -

It isn't that unusual for a wrong configuration to be shipped from time to time but I am sure they could have provided some kind of compensation since the matter went on for so long?XMG likes this. -

Hi
I have looked through the communication and have detailed the timeline was as follows:
- 9:30am Thursday 21st July error reported by our customer via email
- 10:44am RMA details and shipment instructions were sent out following three email exchanges to confirm the RMA process
- Monday 25th laptop shipped by our customer
- Thursday 28th July laptop received by our RMA department
- Friday 29th July and Monday 1st August laptop processed and work completed
- Tuesday 2nd August shipped (it hadn't quite completed testing and quality control on Monday in time to be shipped that day)
- Thursday 4th August received
The laptop order was shipped with an FHD panel and not the 4K that was ordered. As @marios50 said this is extremely unusual but it was just an error in the order processing - this meant that production built up the correct specification that they were given for the order, the problem happened when the order was processed before this. We arranged the RMA for you very quickly and the new chassis was prepared and dispatched in under two working days (which includes full testing and quality control as per usual).
I have been dealing with Kevin throughout this whole process and of course we offered our sincere apologies. Unfortunately we couldn't fulfil the demands to ship a new laptop out with the 4K panel before the FHD was shipped back to us or before we received it.
I think the 20 days that is referred to and that we only care about money is including what happened with the first order that we received. This had to be cancelled because a voucher code was applied to the order and used in combination with the GTX 980 promotion. There is a note on the checkout page that states that voucher codes can't be used in combination with other promotions and we also specifically discussed this with the customer on several occasions prior to him placing the order. The 980 offer deducted £175 from the total and the voucher code was almost this same value, so we had no choice but to ask the customer to pay the value of the voucher code back to us. He declined to do this and asked to cancel the order.
This was on the 3rd July and on the 12th July we received a new order from the customer, for the same configuration but only with the 980 promotional discount.
The order was placed without Windows, I also assisted with the install of the customers' own copy and exchanged over 100 emails and several phone calls to assist. The majority of the emails that we received were asking for large discounts, though myself and a colleague spent a large amount of time (which we were happy to do) working out the best price and explaining the different promotions that we had on since April. We were also asked at least two times before the first order was placed and again after the order was placed for a VAT refund under the 407 export scheme - on each occasion we explained that we were not able to do this because it is an internet sale and to do so would be tax fraud.
As mentioned above, whilst we apologised fot he error and it was extremely unfortunate that it happened, I would have very strong objections regarding any comments that we are only interested in money - especially any suggestion that we purposefully sent the FHD panel out in order to make more money. Customer service is at the forefront of everything we do, we immediately acknowledged the error, apologised, arranged and turned the RMA round in a short space of time. -
I am not talking about the voucher, but the wrong configurations indeed. And the loss of that 20 days delay, you just simply said we will exchange it but not any compensation. And this mistake is not rare for this case, the configuration is wrong and the address is written in casual thus cause the delay of delivery. Please note that I am just talking the delay caused by wrong configurations, and the loss of that should be compensated not only the apologize since your reputation among the customs , I choose you , please do not let me loss my trust
on you. -
There was no delay with the delivery, as we explained politely and accurately in our email conversation all that happened was that the shipment was processed at Gatwick and then was waiting for the DHL truck to take it to your local depot the next morning. DHL tracking shows it as being on hold, but it just means that it is waiting for its connection.

Thank you for explaining it very well. But ,actually you did not do not to compensate my loss. The reason you give that is due to the issue of carrier but not you; the wrong configuration is due to your system and is very rare; and something you mentioned that is irrelative with what I talking about.
From 20th July the first time I receive the laptop to 5th August I receive the second one, it almost 20 day. If you really want to make me and others feel satisfied with it, just contact me and talk about what you can do to compensate the loss or other you can do for it. Maybe there is some misunderstanding of this, and you have explain it to me, so it is not necessary to explain it again, as I mentioned the reasons is not very important, and the most important thing is that what you can do for this. You can give thousands reasons but that not make any sense, the fact is that what you have done have caused unpleasant loss on my life both in time, feelings and money. -
As for the delay in shipping, its out if their hands, that is how DHL works.. Trust me, I had it much worse with DPD, I didn't know where my laptop was for 3 days and was wondering why it was going all around Germany...
At the end of the day, you signed a contract with them, read the T&C before you complain, there will be a clause where they can't be held responsible for this.. They did their best to accommodate your requests and fix the situation.... I know of plenty of resellers who wouldn't have given a **** about this and probably would have taken 2-3 months to fix this, in fact Alienware/Dell would have taken that long..
It doesn't help your case with all your posts whining for compensation, discounts etc.

Guys an update.. Laptop has been there now for just over a week, there is a procedure to be followed but communication has slowed the last couple of days.. Maybe they are just having a couple of busy days but I am going to definitely need a machine before I leave on my next trip. Will update with what happens.

Alright guys since I like being thorough, here is what has happened.
The unit was received and was tested by the XMG engineers and since I had only had the unit for not even 14 days I requested a change of system to the newer P750DM2 as you can see from my sig.
The guys over at the UK branch sorted it out and I am now typing from this unit. Very satisfied by the service and communication, will still recommend XMG for anyone looking to purchase a laptop within Europe.Geforce2go likes this. -

Secondly there was a weird static ticking noise coming from the unit, most probably a bad fan so I simply requested a new unit since its unacceptable to have a 14 day unit do such stuff.
Yes of course, I paid the full difference to the DM2.

Great to hear that everything is running fine now Marios!
Interesting the engineers couldn't find anything wrong with the panel at all - I also saw it and there were no lines in it even though wecould clearly see them in your photo when the panel was powered - strange indeed!marios50 likes this. -
