Hey guys, just thought that i might as well share my experience with Mythlogic while i am waiting for my laptop to ship :)
    _________________________________________________________________________________________________

The main reason that i went with Mythlogic.

    • Great customer service from "one smart nerd" and sales rep.
    • The custom BIOS (not sure how "friendly it is as compared to the total lock-down of sager bios)
    • I do not have to go through the hassle of contacting sager+ sager resellers if something went wrong with my system.
    • I can buy my SSD through other retailers and have them shipped to Mythlogic for installation (this is extremely important to me as i am currently living outside of the US and they do not sell crucial ssd over here >.>)
    • I like gargoyle

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________

    THE GOOD
On June 24, I placed an order with Mythlogic for the Pollux 1612, and i must say that they have one of the best customers service that i have ever encountered. Before I made my purchase, I emailed a few questions and received immediate response from Jeff at Mythlogic, who was more than helpful with every question I had. Throughout the ordering journey, he responded promptly to all my queries through email. There were times that i emailed him at ~2a.m. in the morning and he replied almost immediately. :D

*side note: My laptop got it's 7970m on the 18/7 and it entered hardware building phase, and on the 19/7 2a.m. IT ENTERED "burn-in and test" :)

*2nd aug, I ran into some problems with amazon regarding the mailing address of my rma-ed crucial. Was told by amazon that they cant update the mailing address after the package have began delivery. I immediately contacted Myth's jeff and was told not to worry and they will handle it, guess what the package got delivered to them on the 3rd with no hiccups.

I was also told that while waiting for the new crucial ssd to arrive from amazon, they took the initiative and installed one of theirs into my laptop so as to reduce my waiting time. :)

    THE BAD
However Mythlogic isnt without faults too :(
Before i ordered my system, i made sure that they had 7970m in stock, and was told that my laptop is going to be shipped by around the 9th of july. This did not come true as apparently they ran out of 7970m when my laptop was built and i was in the dreaded 7970m queue for ~2 weeks. I am not really sure what went wrong with the shipments but i am guessing that the demand for the 7970m were far greater than they have expected, thus causing the backlog.
Mythlogic, being a Clevo BUILDER is slightly more expensive then other Sager RESELLERS

I will be updating this thread when my laptop arrives :)

    JUST GOT MY LAPTOP :)

Tested the sound and it seems to me that the onboard speakers sounds pretty normal to me, its not fantastic but its not terrible either. Next i went and plugged in my headphone and i gotta say that the bass is kinda light. Will be updating the sound test results when i get my fiio e17 to test out the differences :)

Ok i am gonna state a few things that irritates me now it the mouse-pad. It keeps going into scroll mode every now and then, even when i am moving the cursor from left to right. Next is the keyboard placement. I kept hitting on the "="key when i am trying to backspace, and the sharp edges are kinda cutting into my wrists too >.>

Will be installing crysis 2, startcraft 2, and kombustor soon to test the temps, but so far while i am typing on chrome i am not able to hear the sound of the fan so no issues there :)

*update: just ran kombustor full screen for 5 mins and i am getting 76 degrees max, and the fans control seems to work well.

I myself went for 2x8GB RAM because if I ever need to upgrade the RAM I think it'll be easier than with 4x4.

Updated* just got a pleasant surprise from myth

I got bored with waiting for my laptop and decided to visit mythlogic's website to see whats new in their "what da pucK" column and to my surprise i found out that they are now offering the 1202 killer for my p150em. I immediately started a chat with "one smart nerd" and asked if i can upgrade my wireless card even though its now in its "burn-in and test" phase, how much more do i have to pay, and how much is it gonna set me back in terms of my build time. To my surprise, the live chat rep told me that they had secretly upgraded my 1102 card to the 1202. I must say that this experience is just pure serendipity, and i will definitely be recommending Mythlogic if anyone is gonna look for a clevo :)

lol now i'm going to be upset if there aren't any secret upgrades in my system j/k. +1 for mythlogic. things like this make me so glad i went with myth.

there were some cancellations last week so Jeff called me in person to verify some of my build specs and to tell me that My 150EM was being pushed into burn and testing friday night. Really great customer service. I believe our babies (along with poketape's) are being QAd together. Here's to hoping they all graduate with flying colors! hah

yea, it may seem like a small gesture to some, but calling my cell to confirm specs because there was still time to push me into build THAT day is truly amazing customer service. i'm pretty sure most companies would just shoot an e-mail and call it a night.

Just wanted to chime in since my Pollux 1612 arrived today. I'm so glad I spent a little extra money to go with Myth and a more personalized experience, the experience has been terrific and I'm glad to spend a little more for peace of mind over this purchase. I previously ordered and returned a P150EM from a different retailer (7970M issues, no fault of theirs) who also is a class act and I'll comment on in another thread praising both of these companies. My Myth system is flawless, no dead or stuck pixels in the screen and every driver installed without a hitch. The build is sturdy and I have absolutely no complaints. I like the fact that the driver CD from Myth has everything labeled in the order that you should install them, it helps. I haven't done any benchmarking yet but am about to. I hope you guys also all have a good experience. The wait for this system is worth it.

    new update*

My laptop had been in the "burn-in and test" status for 4 day, and since today is the 5th day i have decided to ask "one smart nerd" regarding the delay. Turns out that my system ran into some stability issues when running 2 crucial 512gb ssd in raid0 array. I gotta say that i am frustrated with the delay, but thinking back i realized that i should be glad:rolleyes2:. If myth is having probs with my ssd, then i would definitely be screwed if i had tried to install them myself. Gotta say that myth just keeps on exceeding my expectation :D

Hey Pawnerzxx cheer up! At least they managed to find the issue before it was shipped would save you so much on future troubles as well. I guess we'll be receiving our laptops about the same time? Curious to as how would the tax and delivery be settled, product to your doorstep and we pay UPS or nearest post office to pay and they'll send? *Shrugs

Gratz on your machine! Hope you love it. I myself am also stuck in the dreaded 7970m queue at myth hehe, as I'm getting the graphics card from them to upgrade my P170HM's weaksauce 560m. Hopefully the new batch arrives soon!
