This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     My experience (Mythlogic, LPC Digital, XoticPC, PowerNotebooks)

    I was looking for a 1200usd laptop for work and gaming.

    After researching quite a bit, I contacted Larry from LPC Digital because they have good reviews and prices were the best at the time. Unfortunately, Larry explained to me that he couldn't accept my payment methods and that I should probably contact Eurocom or Mythlogic, he recommended them both. This was very nice of him, Larry seems to be a fair competitor.

    Before following Larry's advice I kept on looking for US resellers to buy from because both Eurocom and Mythlogic had higher prices. XoticPC and PowerNotebooks were both polite, fast and helpful when I contacted them, even when it was sure I could not buy a laptop form them.

    Judging by the small interactions with these 3 resellers: LPC Digital, XoticPC and PowerNotebooks, I could of bought from any with confidence.

    I ended up going for Mythlogic because even though they charged more, they offered something valuable like real QA. Apparently they have their own facility where they build the computer with the Clevo chassis but not before checking that all the components are up to certain quality standards. This is more than enough for me. I really dread those nightmares of people receiving laptops with blue clouds in the screen. I live far away from the US so sending the laptop back is not an option. I needed the most safe choice, even if it was expensive. Mythlogic not only added some value to my laptop, they also accepted my payment methods and were polite and helpful all the way through.

    Last Friday, I get a call from some relatives saying they would go to NYC for a week. So it was Friday the 4th and I had to purchase a laptop to be delivered by Friday 11th in NYC with absolutely no technical issues. I talked with the Mythlogic representative, which had to put up with a hysterical man, myself, and did so with much gallantry. He said they could do it but they had to charge me a rushing fee. He also said he was confident and positive the package would arrive at NYC by Friday 11th. So I placed the order last Friday 4th.

    Last Saturday 5th, I woke up with the "guilt" of not upgrading some components so I contacted Mythlogic live chat to check if I could have a processor and screen upgrade without compromising QA or delivery times. They told me not to worry and upgraded the order.

    Yesterday, Tuesday 8th, I received the e-mail with tracking number from UPS. Package is arriving in Thursday if everything goes OK which is even better than I expected.

    All in all I can say I highly recommend Mythlogic.

    Thanks Derek, I was also helped by XoticPC to find other stores that would accept my payment methods. It was really nice of your company to help me find links and mails to contact. Being from a backward country it is nice to see there is an ecosystem in between competitors because it really makes the costumer feel safe. In my country, competitors always trash talk other companies and it really creates this whole uncertainty which is annoying.

    For sure, we definitely understand. We wish we could take more forms of international payment but that same ecosystem tends to have a lot of fraud that prevents us from doing so. We fully understand it can be frustrating and ultimately just want you to have an awesome machine (ideally through us)! If we know we won't be able to help, it's already not a sale we'll be able to have on our end, so it's the least we can do to get you pointing in the right direction.
