I just wanted to share my Mythlogic experience so far. It started with what I believed was my Sager NP8170's video dying and me contacting them on this forum. I got in touch with Josh and sent in the Sager (it was out of warranty) just to find out the motherboard was shot in it.
After finding this out I elected to just replace the laptop with a Nyx 1713 reusing some parts from the Sager. During this whole process Josh had been in contact with me through e-mail, in fact the string of e-mails back and forth for getting the system ordered totaled 39 e-mails and Josh was completely helpful through all of them. We did run into a snag however when I received the laptop, it was in the wrong chassis as I had changed it to Nyx 1713 and received it in the 1713-black. Josh apologized for the mistake and offered a refund of$30 or to send it back in for the new chassis, I elected for the sending of it back in. Here is a timeline so far of events.
July 11th: Initial e-mail to Josh about the Sager problems
July 16th: Mythlogic received the broken Sager
July 25th: Josh gets back to me after an investigation into the laptop deemed the motherboard as the problem not the video card
July 25th: Request a quote for a Nyx 1713-Black reusing the Sager's Wireless card, Hard Drives, and BD-ROM
July 26th-27th: Some back and forth questions about configurations and what to do with the old notebook and the quote for the new one.
July 28th: Changed the order to the Nyx 1713 (non-black) for an increase of $20 and mailed off a check to Mythlogic.
August 2nd: Check had cleared and Mythlogic began production of the new laptop. I was moving during this time and was without Internet until the 9th.
August 11th: E-mailed to see how production was going, everything was well and verified it was ok to format the hard drive so they could install Windows which was super awesome they didn't just wipe it without asking.
August 19th: Received the laptop but in the wrong chassis, immediately e-mailed Josh and received an immediate answer. I decided to send the unit back to be swapped into the new chassis he asked for a couple days to make sure they had a chassis available and held.
August 21st: Today, posting this and waiting to hear back from Josh@Mythlogic
August 22nd: Received the pre-paid UPS shipping label to return the laptop to Mythlogic.
August 23rd: Shipped the laptop back to Mythlogic.
August 28th: Received the laptop back in it's new chassis but unfortunately not without problem. It was missing a Windows CoA and CD-Key. Sent yet another e-mail to Josh for assistance.
Throughout this entire process I was moving and Josh accommodated shipping to the new address. I just wanted to go on record saying he is truly a great person to work with, he is very knowledgeable about the systems and answers all your questions. Even though a mistake was made in manufacturing (Josh sais he changed the order when I asked but the builder missed it) so far it has been a positive experience. I will update he thread as I get the system into the right chassis. I recommend Mythlogic and especially Josh from Mythlogic for anyone looking for a repair or a new build. I'm glad I went with them, and as a plus they're a MI based company so it's nice to support my state a little. I'm glad I bought the 3 year warranty as I wouldn't want to deal with anyone else for a while and they will get my next order as well.

I am going through an order with them too. I can't say enough good things. I am glad they are in MI as well but more so I don't have to pay the sales tax (well not until I self-report....).

Awesome Cemedin, I hope your order goes well. I'm just glad there's still a MI company doing well Updated post with today's news.

Received the laptop back today but it has another problem. The chassis is right but now it's missing it's Windows CoA and CD-Key.
I had to contact Josh again, this is getting tiring. -
Totally understand, and we do apologize. We already have a windows key on its way, and your machine is also still activated =)
Our new BIOS update should be done soon, its looking pretty good with some neat new features
thanks
