Like the title says, and as you can see from my sig that I have indeed went with team Malibal!

I have a Intel 510 Series SSD on the way as well, will end up doing a reinstall of Win7 on it, making it the primary drive.
The only other thing, other than extending the warranty that I plan on doing, is possibly upgrading to a 2820qm (Note to Malibal: feel free to throw this in the current build if you want, haha) on down the road sometime.
Beyond that, I will hopefully be content with my Malibal Satori for quite some time (until something new comes out I'm sure).
Thanks Malibal for the excellent communication, and for the great deal. Will update the thread once it arrives, and I'll also be sure to give a full in depth review w/ the 90% Screen! Definitely looking forward to it.
Also have to give props to XoticPC as well as Larry from LPC-Digital, and Donald from PowerNotebooks. All were great and very helpful, but in the end, for some reason I opted for Malibal. I believe it was the recent influx of Stellar Customer Service posts, where they literally went above and beyond the call of duty.
I know that the other resellers would do the same, but in the end, you have to respect a company that goes out of their way to make things right.
Thanks again Malibal, can't wait to get this review underway!

Good pickup, good vid card too. But I dont think upgrading to a 2820qm over the 2670qm no matter the cost is really ever gonna be worth it.
-
Thanks ntrain. I was torn on the 580 vs 6990, but in the end, for laptop cards, I can't justify the extra $330 for the 580 for a minimal performance difference. Hopefully the IC Diamond 7 will offset the possible heat issues of the 6990. For the price, I don't think I could beat this system.

Booooo.... Pricing error during the configuration of my Satori. Looks like I'm back to square one.
-
What do you mean by pricing error?
-
-
We found that some newer browsers can cause pricing errors on our reconfiguration pages. We have a message on checkout that addresses this issue. Luckily, we now have a fix, so it will be resolved in the next few days.
-
Yeah, make sure you read through the disclaimers fellas. Easily overlooked when you get excited about a laptop, ha.
I actually just went back through and seen it on the second time through. I use Chrome, so that's probably where it hit me.
And gwilled... Yep, back to square one. Have to decide where I'm going for my purchase, and the specs. Can't justify the price discrepancy in my mind. I was good w/ the price I bought it for (of course) but the "actual price" was much higher. Blah. -
How much higher?
-
$315 higher. Enough to warrant a second look elsewhere.
Not a big deal, I'll just most likely not have a laptop for my business trip.
Not their fault, not my fault, just wasn't meant to be I guess. Blah.
Malibal Satori on the way!
