I've ordered two clevo's with them in the past and my new tongfang just arrived today. Normally Frits answers within 24 hours. He's open to offering different configurations than those on the site. In my experience delivery dates were correct. I don't have experience with his warranty policies as nothing broke yet :)

Yes, I am hoping he is just busy and not that I have asked questions he doesn't want to answer :/

It is so very strange that he removed PayPal options as payment method ...

That's strange indeed. Like I told you in the Tongfang thread, I always payed with bank transfer so I don't have experience with other payment options. Which questions did you ask? If you are uncomfortable with sharing in the open you can PM me.

Well it seems that he is getting his stock from PCSpecialist and LP4L is a business which operates in a residential home .
If PCS runs out of stock regarding a part, then he won't be able to source it either.

Prices are minimally smaller due to dutch vat, however in my opinion it is better to get the items from PCS directly.

In that case I have to fill out an extra paper during customs procedures, however in that case there is no middle man and business and repair is done directly with the source. Not to mention that PCs offers dead pixel warranty too.

I do not know if he is an official partner of PCS or he just knows someone in the PCS warehouse "who can get stuff", but either is the case I find it better to do business without a middle man.

Thank you all for the feedback.

Good luck with your purchase and be sure to share your experiences with both the purchase and the laptop itself!

I have recently bought a NL51RU laptop from LP4L/Frits. I asked for a custom configuration [no Windows, no SSD/HDD] which was no problem, he just added the extra options on his website so i could order it that way. Emails were always answered within a day and mostly within a couple of hours. The delivery time of 8-10 working days was accurate, it took 3 weeks for my order to arrive since there were some additional non-working days in that period. Assembly was good and Frits even left out the bottom screws and put them in a seperate bag since i would open it up anyway to install my current SSD.

Don't be fooled by his basic website, a lot is possible when you contact Frits directly. A few years ago i also recommended a friend of mine to order his laptop there. When i added the HDD from his old laptop to the new one from LP4L, we did stumble upon a warranty void sticker on the bottom of the laptop. A quick call to Frits made clear that we would still have a valid warranty if we would break the seal just to add a HDD. My brother also bought a 14" model with a 970M there a few years ago, no problems there either. I can't really say anything about the actual warranty service as i, luckily, never had to make use of the warranty.

I decided to not buy a laptop directly from PCS because of a ~20 working day delivery time, the whole Brexit thing and because of the good experiences we had so far with LP4L.
