Gotta love them offers an free stuff!

Do you plan on reapplying the thermal compound yourself?
If not, it is highly recommended to get the IC diamond upgrade.

Yeah, I figured I'd save a few bucks and just do it myself. I've heard just a few too many stories of the pastes being applied improperly. (not saying they will be but just to be safe)

Nice selection on the drives! SSD+HD is the way to go! I put my optical drive in an external USB bay so I can still use it if/when I need it.

Congrats, I know how excited you must be. I bought a Pollux 1612 from mythlogic Tuesday. That's a clevo p150em. I got a similar build with a i7 e3720qm and the and 7970m. Though I am worried I made the wrong choice because of the and 7970m problems with clevo. I just reached out to mythlogic about twenty minutes ago. Well sell!

Oh I kept the optical drive because I am still scared I might need it, even though I never use it on my desktop. Instead I got the 128gb msata and a 750gb 7200 hhd.

I have an external optical drive that I got decently cheap at a local computer store.

And it went to phase 2 today! Would have gotten sorted out sooner but I should have known to leave a note to contact my phone as opposed to my grandparents.

Update: Well I recieved it one week ago and all I have to say is WOW.

Going from my 8662 to this is night and day! I replaced the stock paste with some Noctuna and the temps stay a steady 80ish while gaming. The power brick doesn't light my carpet on fire anymore. Finally played through witcher 2, metro 2033, Crysis 2, and Rome Total War (well not impressive but upping the numbers of soldiers to real life and having arrows really blotting out the sun is so much fun)

All that said I have a problem, random crashes in BF3, even on low settings so I'm working on that now.
