    I took the most possible simple GPU (1060) as I am not in gaming at all but rather in music.

    Love the extra love not sure about the changing thing. But can I change the underwear picture for a 120Hz screen, the wait is killing me :(

    So, the laptop finally shipped on April 11th. :D

    Well, not really informative. In French, "en chemin" means "on its way". Oh, really? :(

    Yeah i´m freaking loosing my mind with SEUR and Aftership.
    We bought this tracking system, which we have to pay each month... It should give you a proper tracking and even send you SMS messages to your number when it´s out for delivery or when a incident happens, it did look like a top service, and it does work great with other shipping companies. But the reason why we bought it was so we could have a better tracking system for SEUR... and well... guess what, after some days of hard work implementing it we noticed that half the tracking codes report "Tracking does not exist".... i´m pissed as hell with this.
    I either need to change the shipping company or i don´t know... kill someone?

    Sorry for this. What i can assure you is that it is on it´s way to you (duh).

    In Belgium, UPS has the Kiala network. These are shops where they can let the parcels and you pick up them whenever you have time.

    I actually already had problems with two different shipping companies, Nacex (the tracking system will only show information until the order leaves Spain) and now SEUR. I´m not sure which company i should try next. UPS or DHL should probably give me better results. I will have to check.

    DHL are really good in my experience. They are good at sending text updates as well as you can easily request a phone call from them before they attempt delivery. Of course, this is based on me receiving the parcel, I have no idea how they are in dealing with businesses.

    With the point of view of the usual receiver, to me a company associated with a network of official pickup points makes a big difference. I can't remember which company made it, but once they dropped the parcel at a close grocery store which was absolutely not affiliated to any network. So in any case I think the sender should ask the shipping company about the delivery conditions for the receiver. Some of these companies apply delivery rules which are relevant when there is always someone at the delivery place but which are not relevant for people who are not at home during business hours. Hence the usefulness of a pickup network.

    Don´t worry, even if the tracking information sucks they will deliver your new baby!

    I think International is what it shows after it leaves Spain and not Portugal.

    Hide use FedEx and they've always been top notch.. Hide have a special deal with FedEx though... Otherwise FedEx is expensive!

    I was under the impression the package was going to be delivered today.
    Also remember most shipping companies did not work last Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday because of Easter... At least they were closed in Potugal and Spain, not sure how it was in other countries.

    Of course DPD came yesterday (Wednesday) during the single hour when no one was at home. No second delivery attempt, I had to wait another day and fetch the parcel at a pickup point today. By the way, the guy at the pickup point refused to check if the parcel was there by phone (and the tracking number on DPD's paper was rejected by DPD's website). Definitely big, big thumbs down for Seur/DPD!

    But finally it's there!

    DPD is absolutely the worst carrier out there. I have never had good experience with them. Absolutely f**king worst. I try to never swear but I have had nightmarish experience with DPD crew.

    Anyway, unbox that and let us know if John & Crew have done a good job! :D

    That's great. They are most unfriendly courier service. Like OP said, they wouldn't even bother to send you a text with an hour long time slot before attempting delivery or collection. They actually want you to pay £7.0 for that!

    Worst service I tell you!

    During this first week I took most of the available time to learn the basics of Windows 10 (I spent 20 years using mainly macOS) and to install the applications, as well as the drivers (more complicated on that side than on MacOS IMHO). So I haven't had time to see how much powerful this baby is.

    Some good things and some not so good:
    - I like the feeling of the keyboard, it's bouncier than the one on my older 2011 MBP. However the numpad is a bit too close to the main part. I still often press the CapsLock key instead of the erase key. Also, I often press the "up" key instead of the right shift key. Also in 2017, it's a pity that one still has to use the Alt Gr key to access the @ on the French keyboard.
    - the machine is definitely noisier than my old MBP even just for basic use (Web, e-mail, word processing, etc) but it's not disturbing at all. However I am a bit afraid about more demanding tasks, especially for music.
    - the trackpad is definitely better on the Mac because the whole trackpad can be used as a button, both for 1- and 2- fingers pushes. So currently I have desactivated the possibility to use the contacts on the new computer's trackpad surface for cliks because I had unwanted clicks all the time. So I use only the real buttons and I think I'll get used to it quickly.
    - I could not manage to have my Firewire MOTU soundcard being detected on the Thunderbolt connection through an adapter but I was expecting it and I have a USB soundcard whatsoever.
    - the screen is nice, crisp.
    - the machine boots quickly.

    One strange thing: if I close the lid and let it closed for some time (say, one or two hours), the computer is off when I open it again and I have to restart it.
