Thanks to those who provided the extensive, valuable information in these forums. It made me aware that Clevo and Sager laptops exist and have the characteristics that I was searching for. It also was the basis for my decision to order the specific model that I chose. Special thanks to Donald@HIDevolution who patiently explained technical concepts that I didn't understand and corrected the configuration that I proposed to create the machine that I really wanted.

    Thanks!

Due to surprising, overwhelming demand, the configuration for the system that I ordered yesterday follows:
    EVOC P775DM3-G 17.3"
    nVIDIA GTX 1070

4K QFHD (3840x2160) AUO Matte Display with G-SYNC™
HIDevolution Delidded, Unlocked, Under Volted, Overclocked Intel Core i7-7700K
    Prema Custom BIOS
    16GB (1 x 16GB) DDR4/2400MHz
    Intel® Wireless-AC 8265 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n

I realized that your questions would be answered by an appropriate signature in my messages. That led me to an exploration of techniques for creating and formatting a signature, which led me to the forum rules (I wouldn't want to be banned with my second message) and the forum guidelines (I wouldn't want to commit a fatal social blunder for violating forum norms with my second message). If you begin to suspect that I occasionally overthink, you wouldn't be wrong. As a former software quality assurance manager, I consider OCD to be a valuable trait.

I haven’t figured out if there is a way to preview this reply without losing it. Consequently, I don’t know if the two quotes and the tentative signature I included will actually show up. I was attempting to reply to two messages at once and include my build configuration in my signature. These may be stretch goals given my inadequate understanding of best use of these forums. But I’m willing to attempt to create my third message.

    Any help will be appreciated.

Today I received the EVOC P775DM3-G that I ordered last week from @hidevolution. The turnaround was faster than I was quoted. The system is up and running. I'm more than satisfied and impressed with the service provided by @Danny and other @hidevolution associates.

In my previous message in this thread, I described the confusion I had with the forum software. I believe I have worked out my issues, but would appreciate it if you tell me that you disagree.

My next challenge is to explore the capabilities of my new system. My current struggle is to tame Windows 10 without Microsoft eating me alive. My system came with Windows 10 Pro version 1703 installed. I've been studying the thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/windows-10-creators-update-bloatware-free-edition.804247/ that was started by @Phoenix. I'm wondering if that is the best approach to take control of privacy and security or if it may be overkill.

Well if you want, I can login to your system using TeamViewer and help you tame Windows 10 and tweak it for you.

Here is what I can do for you since you're an EVOC Gaming Team Member:

1- Uninstallation of all the Windows Store Garbage Apps
2- Removing all Windows 10 Privacy Invasion stuff like Telemetry, sending your keystrokes to Microsoft, automatically installing suggested apps in the background, allowing Microsoft to conduct experiments on your laptop, disabling automatic driver updates through Windows updates, disabling Windows 10 ads, disabling cortana, etc.
3- Removal of nVIDIA and Intel Telemetry
4- Adjusting a lot of options in PC Settings like disabling Windows Tablet Mode (you have a laptop not a tablet), disabling suggestions appearing in the start menu, disabling automatically connecting to Paid WiFi Hotspots, disabling Game DVR which reduced performance in games, and a lot more.
5- Replacing Cortana with a much better search tool that finds results instantly
6- Restoring the classic Windows 7 Calculator and Windows Photo Viewer
7- Restoring the Classic Windows 7 Start Menu

Thanks for the offer! I accept. I can be available anytime that's convenient for you.

However, I am not familiar with TeamViewer and I don't know what that entails.

    Thanks, again!

    Go here:

    https://www.teamviewer.com/en/

    then click Download TeamViewr

Install it, when given the choice to install for personal use or corporate, choose personal, once it is installed, it will run automatically

Once it runs, on the left hand side, it will give you an ID/Password

Send those to me in a Private Message (I already PMed you) so I can login to your machine

I am available now for 30 mins, otherwise, we can do it in 3 hours once I'm back from the Gym.

@Phoenix First I would like to thank you for all your hard work. You are changing the world by giving people an option to break free from privacy invasion.

Seconly, I purchased the same laptop but from another reseller. I just took it out of the box and it is beautiful!! Only problem is I am not very computer savy and would like your help removing the privacy invasive bloatware, etc. Can you give me the same help as "Joe Ringland" (via team viewer)?
