HIDEvolution 1.5 Year Laptop Update

In March of 2018 I ordered a laptop from HIDevolution and have made extensive use of it ever since. I thought I'd post an update. The original thread which describes the laptop, and my uses for it, in detail is: http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/just-ordered-from-hidevolution.813507/

The most taxing use for the laptop was a 2-day, 3 hours per day, live stream event with speakers, musical performers, etc. I lived streamed the event at 1080p over YouTube. We used two cameras, one connected by SDI cable and the other via wifi down at stage level. Switching was accomplished by vMix live video production software.

The laptop performed absolutely without a glitch. Live broadcasting can be a stressful experience, for obvious reasons, but throw into the mix a new laptop, and you just never know what might go wrong. The folks at HIDevolution prepared and tested the laptop sufficiently that it performed beautifully. I don't remember if I even looked at the actual temperatures, just a bit busy at the time, but I remember thinking that it didn't feel any more than just warm and the fans, if they were on, were not intrusive to the process. We were in the sound booth in the back of the auditorium and on the second floor but there was no window keeping us from hearing what was going on.

Since then I have video recorded a number of other events and each time both vMix and the laptop performed as I have come to expect. I could not be happier with my purchase. I let @Phoenix do his magic and the combination of HIDevolution and @Phoenix is a winner for sure--I love the Classic Shell for Win10. There is no doubt where my next laptop purchase will happen. This one should last awhile, though, but I have extolled the virtues of HIDevolution far and wide. Highly recommended!!!
