i ordered my NP8150 from them, delivery was fairly quick (pc took 1 week to assemble, but halfway through i changed order so had to wait another week)

notebook arrived with 8gb of ram missing , however when i contacted them via email they arranged to ship it on the same day. so +1 for the quick response.

everything else about the laptop i ordered off them was great, screen didnt come with any of the red issue's i've heard people complaining about but that could just be luck.

also what was handy was that they were willing to ship it to thailand for me (i gave them a copy of passport ect) and luckily i didnt get hit by tax at all.

I am writing to make you aware of my stench in the nostrils for your attention I thought his company was responsible amend my previous comment on ResellerRatings

warning never too late to write a comment if you can help people, do not buy into this store I bought my Laptop: MSI MS-1761 (GT780DXR Barebone) GenTech PC, now I feel cheated cheated that can make a person live outside the United States.
Have an idea ..... pay two roundtrip shipping plus double pay custom duty tax, I sent from Venezuela to GenTech PC Store, and Mr. Ken informs them in writing and by phone, my laptop has two faults, the hard drive has bad sectors and also freezes, I tried it with another hard drive just freezes happens with the other hard drive.
Send my laptop for repair was more than 30 days in the shop and I repaired it.
Mr. Ken sent me the laptop and the first day to install the windows 7 operating system froze tried with another operating system Windows 8 and freezes.
They can learn the person with my comment, think twice .... if you live outside the U.S., imagine paying double shipping and custom duty double tax return and your computer without repairing damaged this is what happened to me.

ROFL, your blaming GentechPC because you chose to order a notebook where if you needed support/RMA that it was outside of the zone? Really? Seriously? Next time buy a notebook where you can get serviced by MSI without having to pay extra fees. GentechPC is just a reseller, they don't do the repairs on your notebook, that's MSI and by purchasing from California, you've screwed yourself over the warranty coverage. Your own fault.

Your laptop was first shipped on 09/23/2011 to Florida, you reported the hard drive bad sector issue on 02/20/2012 so I asked you to send back just the hard drive and we will replace it.

On 07/16/2012 we still haven't receive your hard drive for some reason we don't know, the drive was returned back to sender according to the shipping company, and you request to send the whole unit back to us for repair.

Your laptop was repaired shipped back to you on 09/05/2012 to Florida.

    We:

    - replaced a new hard drive for you.

    - RAM tested no errors

    - Install Windows 7 without any problem.

    - benchmarks passed.

Received your email on 12/06/2012 saying you having issue installing Windows 7 because it freezed.

I replied your email in less than 1 minute but never hear back from you.

Not sure what kind of freezing issue you are having because lack of details, if you are using your own Windows 7 DVD make sure it have SP1 built-in otherwise you will have problems and I've mentioned it multiple times in the past on the MSI section.

because you have to fool people?

clarification GenTechPC NOT IF YOU ARE THE OWNER OF THE STORE or speak on behalf of your employees if you are an honest person ASSUMES CORRECT YOUR FAULT and do a research and see the reasons why a computer stays more than 30 days in the shop and not repaired
why not repaired the computer? Every two days if it freezes and in some cases FREEZE 9 times a day because they are not aware of this situation in my opinion you are like cats who hide their excrement with excuses and justifications

let me ask a question to the people of this prestigious forum. EVER IN LIFE, you have heard or seen that a seller has acknowledged his error,And shamelessly dare to blame him BUYERS of computer equipment

excuse me my writing and spelling errors

BangBangPlay want to send a greeting and thank you for taking the time to make positive contributions, I've tried everything, hard drive, video card, RAM, processor, and different operating systems drivers, but everything is normal and is not detected failures or errors, today I found a software called BurnInTest Pro v6.0, please help, someone has an idea they mean.

Actually, resellers here doesn't acknowledge any fault. because if there's a problem you send the unit back and they'll fix it and case closed.
however they will defend themselves with email and conversation logs which should be enough.

you also have to remember that your item could have been damaged while being shipped and is out of the reseller's hands.
it also would have been easier to have it diagnosed locally from a reputable computer repair shop if you're unsure on how to diagnose a problem.
I'm pretty sure the diagnosis cost and the cost of a new harddrive would be 10x cheaper than having your laptop shipped and back (thus 2x possible shipping damage) just to claim warranty.

@hulawafu77 sadly some of us are forced to buy hardware overseas, in my case for example. you won't be able to find the specs or specific model you'd want if we were to buy locally, going through local resellers sometimes would cost double the amount of what I would have paid (my sager for example that I bought for around 2000usd was quoted for 3500usd excluding shipping cost).

thing is, people who take risks like these should know the risks involved and be prepared for what might or could happen during shipment and actual warranty issues.

Like I said on my previous post your laptop was repaired and shipped back to you on 09/05/2012 to Florida. we have not encounter any freezing issues like you said after we replaced hard drive and tested the RAM.

If you still have issues you can contact us immediately and we will be glad to help you, however, the only email I got from you was on 12/06/2012 and I replied but never hear from you.

I can't help you if you don't respond to my emails, but I can help you if you explain more details about your issues.

No creo q no te responde o q te ignora.

Porqué no le decís q te manda los repuestos q necesitas? En su respuesta arriba el dice q no entiende exactamente el problema o q lo esta causando. Tiene q haber un solución o remedio para tú situación.

There is obviously a lack of communication here. I lived in Central America for 6 years and have an idea what the buyer is going through. I had to have friends and family buy and send me parts for many items. The third world is technologically behind, especially when it comes to electronics. You have to learn how to McGuyver everything and do your own repairs. Im not saying that Jose should do that, but he should consider it. Sending it back and forth can get pretty expensive with customs. Unless you have a lawyer who knows someone in customs like I did

So you bought a barebones Lappy, what did you add to make it a complete laptop? Could that be the issue? Barebones do not come ready to run. Let us know what you had to add and maybe we can help.

Because you are using Pro version that tests Parallel port which you don't have one, just remove the check box and test again:

I send greetings thank you very much for your recommendation you are a person who sees life very optimistic, maybe I'm a pessimist, I've tried everything I install different programs and nothing I have sent for repair to the store and I'm not a lucky person, the only thing I thought is let time pass and buy a motherboard in the future, I think is causing the problem. I thank you again to spend a happy day.
