I'm going to be updating this as my order progresses, but I thought I'd go ahead and leave feedback before I forget about it and never get around to doing it.
Wednesday, November 11
After not getting answers about the Clevo P750DM from other resellers, I contact Eurocom. Their sales staff responded quickly (which was better than the couple days' delay or no response at all that I had been getting prior). They state they should be able to ship the order out within 2-3 days.
Thursday, November 12
I place an order with Eurocom for the Sky X4 (Clevo P750DM). I was able to spec it out exactly as I wanted, which I was pretty happy about. I order FedEx Express shipping (for $101! ouch!) because I am sort of in a rush, due to me being indecisive about which computer I wanted to order for a couple weeks (my fault!).
Friday, November 13
After not receiving contact within 24 hours (Eurocom's email states I should), I contact Eurocom to see what an ETA is on my order. Their response is that the order should ship around Wednesday or Thursday next week (which would be November 18 or 19). Kind of disappointed, although understandable since I did customize it.
Thursday, November 19
I contact Eurocom out of curiosity to see if we're still on track for it shipping soon, and now the ETA is around Tuesday, November 24. Feeling a bit more disappointed. Their staff is quick to respond to emails, however and I take that as a good sign, and that maybe there's just been a delay in stock coming in. I ordered the Sharp 4K display and maybe that is causing the delay.
Wednesday, November 25
Looks like the computer shipped out today. Received an invoice with tracking number today. Looks like I'll have it in my hands soon!
Monday, November 30
Received the laptop. The logo was on the laptop even though I requested it be removed. I spoke with John who appears to be the fulfillment manager with Eurocom and he says he might be able to send a replacement back panel that does not have the logo on it as well as instructions on how to do the swap. I appreciate the willingness to fix it, even though I'd obviously prefer not to be in this boat to begin with.
The laptop seems to be working, and with the exception of the logo I'm pretty excited to get started with it!
It seems like Eurocom's communication isn't the greatest when there are issues, although I suspect this is likely a busier season than usual for them and the delays I have had are probably due to the 4K display I requested. Due to some of their unique options offered I would say they're a good company to go with if you want something a little different, but if you do purchase from them you may need to be proactive in communicating with them.
More updates as they happen!

Too bad about that shipping delay. Mine arrived at my door 72 hours after ordering, though I didn't do any upgrades (and in fact stripped some stuff out).
The only reason I can see for such a delay is a lack of parts, and I'm assuming that 4K screen is the culprit. -
Yeah, I removed all storage options and ordered bare minimum RAM (got em from Newegg for pricing reasons). Also declined the Windows option, as I can get a deal on that as well.
I had a feeling the display would cause a delay, but I was hoping they were taking the configuration into account when giving estimates (I provided my configuration when asking for the initial shipping estimate). I should probably be more explicit in future communications. -

I appreciate it!
As I said, when I contact Eurocom I get a pretty prompt response so I'm happy with that.
Definitely can't wait to receive the computer.i_pk_pjers_i likes this. -
Probably is the 4K display.
My Sky X9 order still hasn't shipped either and I placed my order on 11/6. I was told it was due to the 4K AUO panel.clevo-extreme likes this. -
Are these the Samsung panels that divide the screen into sections?

I know that the NP8657's used Samsung Panels that are RGBW-Pentile.
" It is advertised as having a resolution of 3840x2160, and shows up as 3840x2160 in the settings, but it isn't using a standard RGB pixel scheme. A normal display puts a full set of red, green, and blue components into each pixel, which means the resolution is the actual number of little dots that can each display any color independently. This display in this laptop uses red, green, blue, and white components, but divides them into red/green groups and blue/white groups and alternates them between pixels. This means you're only getting a little bit more detail than you'd get from a 1920x1080 panel. Anything that tries to take advantage of a full 3840x2160 resolution loses detail and has lattice-like artifacts. "
" Samsung Pentile RGBW, superior viewing angles, glossy, ultra high pixel density, plays very fewer games at full res, poor yellow reproduction, limited to 48 Hz, questionable battery life, 97% sRGB "
Quoted from a website. I confirmed my 8657 used a Samsung RGBW panel when I had it for two hours. If I remember correctly those panels are capped at 48HZ refresh rate as well. Maybe they are using a different panel but I was just curious. -
This was an explicit option, and one of the biggest reasons why I went with Eurocom (that they offer the option). They also had the Samsung option as well, at a reduced price. -

To mrmylanman: I'm about to order the Sky X4 as well, but there's one thing I couldn't find in any review, and that would be very kind of you if you could check this when you get your laptop: is the image sharp when resolution is set to 1920x1080?
Some QHD panels use exactly 2x2 screen pixels for every image pixel (very sharp, as long as ClearType is turned off or monochromatic), while some others perform some kind of resampling instead (introducing some blur).
What's the point of using FHD on a QHD panel you might ask? Well, I'm more interested in good color rendition and wide viewing angles than 4K resolution, and there's less scaling issues when used with a external (and larger) FHD monitor. Of course, I could get a wonderful QHD 17" panel (AUO B173ZAN01.0, near 100% AdobeRGB that is perfectly sharp at 1920x1080) with the Sky X9 or the upcoming DLX7, but that's about twice the price for the whole system with minimal options!Last edited: Nov 26, 2015 -
I'll check that out and report back when I get the machine.
It should arrive tomorrow, except it's shipping to my office and I won't go there until Monday. I would have it re-routed to a FedEx Office location, however the SSDs and RAM I ordered are sitting on my desk at work anyway, so there's not much point... lol.
So, Monday I should have some information. -
Well... in a positive twist of Murphy's law, now that I asked and just as you replied, I found the answer by myself in an older laptop review with that panel (the matte version, I don't know if you ordered the matte or glossy panel, but I suppose they are the same on that regard):
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Schenker-W505-Clevo-P751ZM-Notebook-Review.147149.0.html
where it says: "If you reduce it to 1920x1080 for a better performance, you do not have to live with a blurry picture. Lower resolutions appear pretty sharp."
Looks like that should be fine.
Thanks anyway!Last edited: Nov 26, 2015i_pk_pjers_i likes this. -
Glad it got solved! I did order the matte display as well

If you want stuff done properly, you always have to be proactive in communicating with these companies... Well hopefully they can solve this for you!

After speaking with someone, it seems like it'll eventually be made right, but there's no ETA on it. Right now it looks like they'll ship out the no-logo panels but I'm not sure when. I'll update OP when that happens.i_pk_pjers_i likes this. -
So it looks like I might not ever get the lid without the logo. After nearly a month I have not heard back so I shot them an email and the response was a lot less optimistic. Pretty bummed. This is kind of a pattern that I'm noticing where I'm told one thing to wait and find out the near exact opposite is true
I feel whiny complaining about something so small but I use it in an office and it attracts a lot of unwanted attention (it's huge and is very gamer looking) but I was ensured many times it would be no problem.
I am happy with the computer and I am glad I received it in working order but I have my reservations about recommending them. They have a few options not available in other US retailers (at least when I originally checked) and if you want those options then they might be worth buying from. Outside of that I would probably look elsewhere unfortunately.

Yes, this is a trend with a lot of these smaller companies for some reason. It seems they are very eager to take your money, but that eagerness disappears when you have a problem you want solved.
