First, this will be a review of Eurocom itself, not the laptop. I may do a review on the laptop but a few people here have already done so. ;)

I'm going to do two reviews, first for last year, my Panther 5 (P570WM).

I contacted Eurocom through eBay to discuss their ad on the P570WM barebone. The listing was for a 880M based barebone. They replied back within one business day and I was able to work out a deal. They gave me a better price with a 970M and also gave me the 90% NTSC display.

It was shipped within a week and arrived in great condition. The only drawback was the webcam bezel was loose and kept coming out a bit, otherwise everything was fine. Now it is in the hands of @Mr. Fox , it was one of my favorite laptops and I had a 10-core Ivy-E Xeon in that thing. Still faster CPU wise than both my current desktop and laptop. :D

    P870DM:

Okay this was an interesting experience. I ordered this machine on 11/06/2015. I finally received it on 12/29/2015. I had contacted Eurocom about making a deal on this unit. I had told them about my purchase last year. We came to an agreement on the specs and price. They even changed my desktop 980 to 980M SLI at no additional charge since they did not have any at the time.

Now one thing I will say about Eurocom, they always answered my questions, no matter how many or what kind. I cannot say the same about others like Mythlogic and HIDevolution. Eurocom also were the first to have the 4K AUO display.

My laptop was delayed MANY times. Each time I contacted Eurocom, they kept saying next week, next week, because of the AUO 4K display which got frustrating, but they did reply back which was great. They had finally shipped out the laptop on 12/17 for a expected delivery date of 12/24. Sounds awesome right? I'd have it by Christmas!

WRONG! FedEx decided to fail hard. For some reason , my package never came...I was at work all day Thursday 9am-8pm, nothing. The delivery updated to Monday and said "local delivery exception." Keeping in mind, the weather here in Cali is fine. So Monday came..same exact thing! I contacted Eurocom and FedEx because I knew the same thing would have happened Tuesday. Eurocom replied quickly and told me to tell FedEx. FedEx said they'd notify the station of my concern. I decided to use the "Hold at FedEx" option.

5pm came and still nothing on Tuesday, delivery was now "Pending" again... I emailed FedEx again. Then I get a call "your package is ready for pickup." I go to the FedEx office and pick up my package finally!

The packing was exactly how my panther was shipped. Double boxed, foam pads on each end of the laptop and a small box full of all of the components and manuals. I like the packaging they use since it's also discrete and not fancy.

Well that wraps things up, the AUO 4K display was WORTH IT! Scaling in windows 10 is actually pretty good, I didn't expect it to be this good. Hope this helps anyone, can't wait to get a proper vBios/BIOS/EC to crack open some serious benchmarks.

Yeah, Eurocom rocks. Buying from them would be my first choice for the reasons you mentioned as well as their Prema partnership and commitment to overclockers and upgraders. You don't find many examples of that any more.

    Nice little review.

Oh yeah almost forgot. This laptop didn't have any stickers applied either, as seen in the picture. What really scared me was that the instruction booklet/sticker that was included was for the i5 processor! I thought they might have sent me the wrong processor, so I cleaned up the IC Diamond to find 6700K written on the processor. That was definitely a scare. I had an i7 sticker and SLI sticker handy and added those otherwise the rest stays sticker free. :D

I understand that Eurocom now has a good supply of the 4K display panels in stock and should be able to ship a 4K Sky X9 within 2 to 3 days of the order being placed.

Anyone being told their order is delayed due to 4K with no firm commitment on ETA should reach out to Eurocom about a Sky X9.

I am pretty sure you can pay with CAD if you are not from the USA, but I would want to email them to make sure.

By the way, Eurocom offers student discount if you qualify.
