Bought my laptop from here about a year and half ago and now its starting to shut off without warning after gaming for about 5-7 hours. Tried to talk to them through email and they have been asking me the same questions by just rewording them. They said they would email me the shipment info but never did. I waited almost a week then tried to get in contact again but all they said was try redoing the thermal paste which I have already done and the problem is still there. Now they are saying it could be my mouse since its wired into the USB and could be draining power. Another email they even said they get customers that lie about there problems like not turning on at all and when they get it it does turn on.
If I was really lying I would not be talking to them at all.
Hope this helps anyone considering on buying from them. So my advice is to stay away from this company and the warranty plan they offer because it really isn't a warranty its more like a your out of luck and I have your money now.
Sorry for the long post but I am very upset after spending so much money on this laptop that doesn't do what its suppose to do after 5-7 hours.
If anyone needs proof I have all my emails saved with my receipt from this company on my purchase you can inbox me for more information but i'd rather not post it all in the post.

Sorry to hear that. I have heard mostly less than flattering comments about said reseller. I can see how an issue like that (shutdown after 5-7 hours of gaming/heavy use) would be difficult for them to diagnose, but that should be covered under the warranty. All laptop problems arent convenient and easy to troubleshoot. From just hearing your side of the story it sounds like they want nothing to do with even trying to chase that problem down, and they are sweeping it under the rug.
If u send them the laptop they would probably just plug it in, boot it up, say that there is nothing wrong , and ship it back. There is no way they are going to try to duplicate those conditions. Hope you figure it out... -
I'm assuming you cleaned the vents out since you redid the paste.
Have you tried switching the fans to full speed (fn+1) when gaming?
I have a temp monitor which tells me how high the heat goes when doing things like playing games or simulations. It can go near 70 if things are intensive but stays around 54 when I have the fans at full speed. How high do your temps get? -
I do also use a temp monitor it would be dumb of me not to. -
Something is definitely wrong then as your temps should not be that high. We practically have the same machines (prob bought them same time too). I clean the vents out once every 2-3 months, haven't reapplied the paste (I think it's stock, not IC Diamond).
Sorry to hear that Malibal won't fix your comp . Hope you find a solution. -
what version of windows are you running? what type of "maintenance" do you perform and how regularly? have you checked the event viewer or used a utility like who crashed after one of these shutdowns? does it happen with all games or one game in particular? does it just shut off completely or blue screen--and if it just shuts off, does it boot right back up? i'm by no means sticking up for malibal. it's unfortunate you missed this board's myriad negative feedback about them as a reseller before purchasing one of their machines, but how much more information have you provided them with aside from what's mentioned in the OP?

Malibal honestly lost my respect with the way they were treating customers on NBR before they permanently left. I was | | this close to buying a PC from them last year but they've lost 2 (headed for 3 later this summer) purchases to XoticPC and Sager. This is why you need to feel that the reseller is stand up and will do the right thing. Keep trying with them and hopefully they will eventually own up :-(

Dammit. Your experience with MALIBAL's support don't reflect my own, but last I talked to them was 1 year ago. They seemed to have lost quality with time.
My Malibal P150HM has just blown a 6990m for the second time. The first time, 13 months ago, they replied to my warranty ticket within hours, on a saturday, stating they would send me RMA info on monday, which they did.
This time it's been 2 days, although I think monday was a holiday?
They can't really dispute my claim, seeing as there are video artifacts in POST and I've sent them a photo.
I was hoping they would let me upgrade the GPU for a small fee, as I expect a new 6990m to die in another year and more performance is always nice. Now, reading the more recent feedback here, I simply hope they don't give me the run around. Their forums seem down/bugged and they don't publish an E-Mail address directly. Although I hate talking to customer support on the phone, especially in english, I'll probably call them in 1-2 days. I'm currently residing somewhat far from home, and my laptop is my only gaming machine. -
I guess I got anxious for nothing. Malibal answered my ticket before their closing time yesterday, about 2 hours after I posted here, and a little over 50 hours after I opened a warranty ticket on their website. They were closed monday for the holiday. Slower than one year ago, but good enough. I can't expect answers during weekends everytime!
They've issued me a pre-paid shipping label, but they haven't yet answered if they can upgrade my card, and for how much. It seems the guy processing my RMA doesn't have this information. I guess they have to contact the service center or something.
If I can, I'm getting an AMD 7970m. I was thinking about getting an NVidia card because I thought those would work with the DVI-DL port, but I was told here on the forums that no, they didn't work. As the 680m is more expensive for not much more performance than the 7970m, according Notebookcheck's benchmarks, and the 670mx can be slower than the 6990m, I'm getting the 7970m. It's not like I used the HDMI port anyway, since we're limited to 1 external monitor.
Sorry for rambling, and sorry for those who had bad experiences with MALIBAL's customer service. It seems they don't treat everyone equally, or something. -
I'm surprised anyone buys from Malibal anymore. You'd think the repeated horror stories coupled with their completely unprofessional behavior on this forum would have scared most people off.
Don't buy from Malibal
